A telescope fair under the open sky – now that’s a rare treat! While most trade fairs are held indoors, the International Telescope Meeting Vogelsberg (ITV) offers something truly special: an unforgettable open-air experience. From 28 May to 1 June 2025, the campsite in Gedern, (Hesse), will once again transform into a haven for stargazers, drawing hundreds of amateur astronomers from across Germany and beyond.
By day, it’s all about sharing knowledge, observing the skies, and exchanging tips – a real bonus for beginners, who can learn loads from the many seasoned stargazers on hand. And once the sun sets, the magic really begins: under clear skies, the night is all about exploring the cosmos together. Don’t worry if you don’t have your own telescope – many passionate hobby astronomers are proud to show off their gear and are more than happy to let others take a look through the eyepiece.
Another must-see: one of the campsite’s meadows transforms into a lively open-air market, where specialist retailers showcase the latest gear – and of course, BRESSER will be right at the heart of it!
