Featuring a large mirror with a high focal length, this telescope allows you to observe a wide range of night sky objects. Thanks to the catadioptric system (integrated Barlow lens), the tube has a short design-despite the high focal length-making the telescope highly portable. The BRESSER Spica Plus also comes with high-performance mechanics, including a premium equatorial mount that allows you to set up the telescope in no time. A focuser is attached to the side of the tube, as is standard on a Newtonian reflector telescope. It comes with two eyepieces for observing at different magnifications. Explore the planets of our solar system and discover new worlds. And if you'd like to capture your observations to share with others, you can take photos through the telescope using the supplied smartphone camera adapter.
Please note that Newtonian reflecting telescopes are ideal for astronomical observations, but are not suitable for observing wildlife and landscapes. For observing wildlife and landscapes, we recommend BRESSER refracting telescopes.

Explore the beauties of the night sky with this complete telescope set. Everything is included so that you can get started immediately with the fascinating hobby of astronomy: the astronomical reflector telescope with 150 mm aperture and 1,400 mm focal length, the equatorial mount, the tripod and extensive accessories for exciting observations. Especially important for beginners: the system is very easy to use. Particularly the Moon, the planets and the Sun appear impressive through the Pollux-II.
Powerful performance for your first celestial observations – the telescope
Take your first steps in astronomy with this classic reflector telescope of the "Newton" type. Because it is equipped with an additional lens inside the focuser, it belongs to the group of the so-called "catadioptric" optics. One advantage of this combination of lens and mirror: despite the large focal length, the telescope tube is relatively short and therefore easily transportable. In addition, you can look forward to a comfortable observation position at all times. This is because with telescopes of this design you do not look in at the back of the telescope, but at the front and laterally. So you don't have to bend down, even if the reflector telescope is pointed vertically upwards at the sky.
The large aperture of 150 mm collects a lot of light from the celestial objects. In addition, 150 mm aperture and 1,400 mm focal length result in a focal ratio (ratio of aperture to focal length) of 1 to 9.3 (F/9.3). This allows you to enjoy viewing your favourite objects at high magnifications with good contrast. Admire especially the planets or details on the Moon through the entry-level telescope. But also some deep sky objects are very nice to observe: open star clusters, globular clusters and bright planetary nebulae such as the Ring Nebula M57 in the constellation Lyra can be seen beautifully through this astronomical telescope.
But how close can you get to the celestial eye-catchers? The 150 mm aperture achieves a resolving power that allows magnifications of up to 300x with sharp images. The technical possibilities go far beyond this – theoretically up to 1,050x using the included accessories. However, as the magnification increases, the sharpness of the image can slowly decrease. In addition, high magnification also requires the right environmental conditions. For no matter through which telescope you look, the air turbulence in the atmosphere (seeing conditions) always influences your observation and magnification possibilities.
Note for nature lovers:
If you choose a Newtonian telescope like the Pollux-II reflector telescope, you can look forward to a specialist in astronomical observation. However, the image is always displayed laterally reversed as well as upside down, which makes no difference when observing the sky. However, this type of telescope is less suitable for nature and landscape observation during the day. Would you like to use your new telescope for exciting nature discoveries as well? Then we recommend that you choose one of the BRESSER refractor telescopes.
Solid base for gazing skywards – mount and tripod
Have you found the perfect location for your journey of discovery into the night sky? Then simply mount your astronomical telescope with the equatorial mount on the height-adjustable aluminium tripod. The special feature of this type of mount: after the so-called "alignment", the positioning of an axis parallel to the Earth's axis, the movement of the celestial bodies only has to be compensated for on this one axis. To do this, you simply point the axis approximately at Polaris. This is a huge advantage over the azimuthal mount, where both axes are moved simultaneously. In addition, the two flexible shafts with fine adjustment make adjusting and tracking the telescope very precise and comfortable. And to ensure that accessories are always at hand, they can be stored on the handy shelf between the tripod legs.Keep track of things automatically: For this telescope’s equatorial EQ-3 mount, the tracking motor with item number 4951400 is available as an optional accessory. This eliminates the need to manually track a celestial object set in the telescope. When this motor is installed at the mount, it automatically tracks the celestial object, keeping it in the field of view of the eyepiece. This makes observing the night sky even more comfortable!
Everything you need, night and day – the accessories
The astronomical telescope comes with a wide range of equipment so that you can start admiring the Moon, planets or the Sun straight away. At night, the LED viewfinder helps you keep an overview of the sky. Once installed parallel on the tube and correctly aligned, the small red dot shows you where the telescope is pointing when you look through it. This way, you can align the optics precisely and find celestial bodies more quickly before you then take a closer look with the high magnification.
Varying views of the universe: the two eyepieces allow you to marvel at your observation objects in different magnifications. They are simply inserted into the telescope's focuser using their sockets with a standardised 1.25 inch (31.7 mm) diameter. You want to see even more details? Then go for the 3x barlow lens, which triples the magnification of the eyepieces.
If you would like to make astronomical discoveries even during the day, use the solar filter to observe the star of our own solar system. It allows you to easily and safely observe sunspots and granulation on the sun.
CAUTION: Never point the telescope at the sun without the solar filter!
Capture special highlights easily – with the smartphone adapter, you use your smartphone as a camera for your telescope. This way you can quickly take your first photos of the Moon or the Sun, for example, and get started in astrophotography.

Embark on a voyage of discovery through our solar system and beyond using the BRESSER Spica-II reflector telescope. You can start straight away with your new hobby, because this complete astronomy set already comes with everything you need for exciting observations: an astronomical reflector telescope with 130 mm aperture and 1000 mm focal length, an equatorial mount, a tripod and extensive accessories. Perfect for the astro-novice: the system is very easy to use. So look forward to fascinating sights especially of the Moon, the planets and the Sun.
Perfect combination of mirror and lens – the telescope
Using the Spica-II you’ll start your celestial exploration tour with a classic reflecting telescope of the "Newton" type with an additional lens inside the focuser. This combination of mirror and lens is called "catadioptric". It’s immediately noticeable with this type of telescope that you do not look in at the back, but at the front and laterally. What is the advantage? Even if the telescope is pointed vertically into the sky, you can observe the beauties of the night sky in a comfortable posture. In addition, catadioptric telescopes impress with their transportability, because despite the long focal length, the tube is comparatively short.
With its 130 mm aperture, the Spica-II already collects a lot of light from celestial objects. In addition, 130 mm aperture and 1000 mm focal length result in a focal ratio (ratio of aperture to focal length) of 1 to 7.7 (F/7.7). This means you can enjoy an image with good contrast even at high magnifications. Thus, the telescope is well suited for observing the planets and details on the Moon. Even some deep sky objects are worth looking at through this entry-level telescope: admire open star clusters and globular clusters as well as bright so-called planetary nebulae such as the Ring Nebula M57 in the constellation Lyra.
And how big will the nocturnal highlights appear? The 130 mm aperture achieves a resolution that allows magnifications of up to about 260x with sharp images. Technically, even more is possible – theoretically up to 750x with the included accessories. However, as the magnification increases, the sharpness of the image may slowly decrease. In addition, as is so often the case in astronomy, you are also dependent on the prevailing conditions. For example, the air turbulence in the atmosphere (seeing conditions) always plays a role in your magnification possibilities.
Note for nature lovers:
If you choose a Newtonian telescope like the Spica-II reflector telescope, you can look forward to a specialist in astronomical observation.
A good foundation for your astro-start – mount and tripod
If you want to look up at the sky, you need a solid base on the ground. That's why you will find a robust height-adjustable aluminium tripod and an equatorial mount in your telescope set. The special advantage of this type of mount: unlike an azimuthal model, the movement of the celestial bodies is compensated for only on one axis instead of two. For this purpose, one axis of the equatorial mount is aligned parallel to the Earth's axis in the course of the so-called "alignment". This is easily done by pointing it approximately at Polaris. Perfect for convenient adjustment and tracking of the entry-level telescope: the axes can be moved precisely via the two flexible shafts with fine adjustment. And if you simply place smartphone adapter, eyepieces etc. on the convenient storage plate between the tripod legs, you will have the equipment you need quickly at hand.Keep track of things automatically: For this telescope’s equatorial EQ-3 mount, the tracking motor with item number 4951400 is available as an optional accessory. This eliminates the need to manually track a celestial object set in the telescope. When this motor is installed at the mount, it automatically tracks the celestial object, keeping it in the field of view of the eyepiece. This makes observing the night sky even more comfortable!
Everything for the astro-beginner – the accessoriesFor your start into the wonderful world of astronomy, the Spica-II beginner's telescope comes with lots of accessories. The LED viewfinder, for example, is great for orientation in the night sky. You simply install the direction finder parallel to the actual telescope. It projects a red dot onto a small ground-glass screen that appears to float in front of the sky when you look through it. In this way, it shows you where the telescope is pointing. A great help for the exact alignment of the telescope and the easy location of celestial objects before you gaze at them with higher magnifications.
You determine how detailed you observe your discoveries by using one of the two eyepieces, each of which provides a different magnification. They are fitted with standard 1.25-inch (31.7 mm) diameter sockets which allow them to be easily inserted into the eyepiece focuser of the entry-level telescope. Would you like to look even closer? Then grab the 3x barlow lens, which triples the magnification of the eyepieces in no time.
Explore the astronomical highlight of the daytime sky: With the safe solar filter you can examine sunspots as well as granulation on the Sun.
CAUTION: Never point the telescope at the Sun without the solar filter!
There is also a suitable accessory for your first steps in astrophotography: with the smartphone adapter, you can use your mobile phone as a camera on the telescope. First snapshots of the Moon or Sun made easy!

Take your first steps into the wonderful world of astronomy – with this complete set consisting of an astronomical Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope with 100 mm aperture and 1400 mm focal length, equatorial EQ-3 mount, tripod and extensive accessories. The special feature of this beginner’s telescope: Due to the high contrast, you can start your journey to the stars wherever you like – even in the middle of a brightly lit city. And yet the extremely compact telescope takes up very little space on balconies, terraces and the like. The system is easy to handle and therefore perfect for beginners. The optics show especially the Moon and planets at their best. Ideal for all travel-loving amateur astronomers: due to its compact design, the telescope is also perfectly suitable as a travel telescope.
Compact high-quality optics for beginners – the telescope
Powerful optics with a long focal length in a very compact design for easy transport – that is what Maksutov-Cassegrain telescopes offer. The design principle: The optics combine mirrors and lenses with very good imaging properties.
With the 100 mm aperture, the BRESSER Messier MC-100/1400 already collects a lot of light and offers a good resolution. Due to the extremely large focal ratio of 1 to 14 (F/14), which results from the 100 mm aperture and the 1400 mm focal length, you enjoy a very sharp image with excellent contrast. This means that the telescope is an absolute specialist when it comes to exploring the Moon, Sun and planets. But you can also look forward to observing many deep-sky objects through your telescope for beginners. Admire open star clusters, globular clusters and so-called planetary nebulae such as the impressive Dumbbell Nebula M27. Really sharp images with up to 200x magnification – no problem thanks to the resolution of the 100 mm aperture! From a purely technical point of view, even more is possible in terms of magnification. However, increasing magnification often results in a loss of image sharpness. Moreover, the telescope is not the only factor when it comes to the question of how high you can magnify. The air turbulence in the atmosphere (seeing conditions) also plays an important role.
Good foundation for your space exploration – mount and tripod
While you enjoy the view of the sky, your Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope is perfectly mounted on the height-adjustable aluminium tripod with equatorial EQ-3 mount. The equatorial design has a decisive advantage: Unlike azimuthal models, you have to compensate for the movement of the celestial bodies on just one axis. To do this, you align this particular axis of the equatorial mount parallel to the Earth's axis by pointing it approximately at the polar star – also known as "alignment". Thanks to the two flexible shafts with fine adjustment, tracking and adjusting the telescope is extremely comfortable and precise. The storage plate between the tripod legs keeps your astronomy accessories ready for any exciting discovery.Keep track of things automatically: For this telescope’s equatorial EQ-3 mount, the tracking motor with item number 4951400 is available as an optional accessory. This eliminates the need to manually track a celestial object set in the telescope. When this motor is installed at the mount, it automatically tracks the celestial object, keeping it in the field of view of the eyepiece. This makes observing the night sky even more comfortable!
Complete equipment for your start in astronomy – the accessories
Unpack and get started straight away – with the extensive accessories, you can immediately set off on your own exploration trip through our solar system. The LED viewfinder allows you to find celestial objects easily and align the beginner's telescope precisely. For this purpose, the viewfinder is mounted parallel to the actual telescope. And this is how it works: Inside, a red dot is projected onto a small ground-glass screen. When you then look through the LED viewfinder, this dot appears to be floating in front of the sky – exactly where your telescope is pointing.
The eyepiece included in the astronomy set is impressive as well. The 26 mm Plössl eyepiece offers a 54x magnification and very good imaging properties. Simple upgrade: Because the tube diameter of 31.7 mm (1.25 inch) corresponds to an international standard for all manufacturers, you can easily extend your astronomy starter set with additional eyepieces. This way you can admire your favourite sights in other magnifications as well.
Especially when the telescope is pointed vertically into the sky, the 90-degree star diagonal mirror proves to be very helpful. It allows you to look into the telescope comfortably from the side, even at unfavourable viewing angles.
Fascination Sun – with the Maksutov-Cassegrain beginner's telescope, you can take a close and safe look at our own star. Simply attach the solar filter to the aperture. The sight of sunspots and granulation on the Sun is guaranteed to amaze you!
ATTENTION: Never point the telescope at the Sun without the solar filter!
Capturing breathtaking astronomy moments is easier than ever. Simply place your mobile phone with the smartphone adapter on the eyepiece, take pictures and share the most beautiful snapshots of the Sun, Moon etc. immediately.

With the Maksutov Newton MN-152 David H. Levy Comet Hunter and the EXOS-2 PMC-Eight GoTo mount by EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC, you get an excellent telescope set specifically designed for wide-field observations and astrophotography. The highly corrected Maksutov-Newton offers much sharper images than classic Newtonian telescopes, making it ideal for visual observations and digital astrophotography. The outstanding mount with a precise GoTo system and the intuitive ExploreStars app ensures accurate tracking and easy navigation of the night sky. This is the perfect equipment for ambitious amateur astronomers who value the highest image quality and easy operation!
The Telescope The Maksutov Newton MN-152 David H. Levy Comet Hunter is a highly corrected optical system for wide-field observation and astrophotography, developed in collaboration with the famous "comet hunter" David H. Levy. The Maksutov-Newton system, by design, has advantages and disadvantages compared to the classic Newtonian telescope. Aside from the higher cost, its drawback is the heavier weight due to the thick meniscus lens at the front opening. The main advantage of the Maksutov-Newton over the classic Newtonian is its edge sharpness. Newtonian telescopes are only sharp in the centre of the image, while off-centre they show the prominent coma, which distorts the star point into a tail, like a small comet, causing a loss of sharpness and contrast. The Maksutov-Newton significantly reduces this error, making it sharper for most purposes, both for visual observation and photography with digital SLR cameras. The Maksutov-Newton is therefore an almost ideal all-round telescope, providing sharp images across the field without additional correctors.
The Mount The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC EXOS-2 PMC-Eight GoTo mount is equipped with a modern and very precise GoTo control system. It consists of a robust Wi-Fi controller unit that provides all necessary interfaces. The NEMA-11 stepper motors are directly connected to this unit by cable, and an ST-4 compatible autoguider port is also included. Additionally, the system supports microstep operation for precise tracking.
Intuitive control via app and graphical star map The dedicated ExploreStars app for the PMC-Eight system features an intuitive user interface with a well-designed graphical star map. All current alignment stars for GoTo system initialisation and all database objects are displayed as a star map with additional text information. All of these objects can be easily viewed and selected.
Powerful controller unit with Open GoTo for customisation The heart of the controller unit is a completely autonomous 2-channel multiprocessor with 8 CPUs and a Wi-Fi Ethernet 10/100 adapter with IP functionality. This allows remote operation via browser, ASCOM, app, or serial connection. With Open GoTo, you can also write your own firmware and load it into the controller unit, allowing for custom adjustments to the device’s functionality and the creation of custom object lists.
Polar finder included The included and pre-installed polar finderscope allows for quick and precise polar alignment, enabling long exposure times without unwanted star trails. The integrated LED illumination unit enhances the user experience with the polar finderscope.

Astrophotographers generally use two different focal lengths: Short focal lengths for overview photos and extensive deep-sky objects, and long focal lengths for objects which are further away. Our aspherical mirror optics offer the perfect solution for these scenarios. The VISAC primary mirror (Vixen Sixth-Order Aspheric Cassegrain) is specially designed for astrophotography and provides a fully flat and true-colour image over the entire image frame. Thanks to the three-element field corrector in front of the convex secondary mirror, there is no spherical aberration, coma or field curvature. Although the device is designed for astrophotography, it is also suitable for visual observations.

Maksutov Newton MN-152 David H. Levy Comet Hunter Telescope
Highly corrected optic for wide-field observation and astrophotography. Developed in collaboration with the famous "comet hunter" David H. Levy. The Maksutov-Newton system does have some pros and cons respectively to the classical newtonian design. Apart from the higher price the main disadvantage is the higher weight - the thick corrector lens at the front is the cause for this. The main advantage of the Maksutov-Newton compared to the classical newton is the sharpness of the field of view. Classical newtonian telescopes do show a sharp pinpoint star image only at the middle of the field of view - outside the optical axis they have a dominant abberation, the so called coma. This is inherent in the newtonian design, and therefore valid for all newtonian telescopes of all brands and not caused by manufacturing tolerances. Coma distorts the star image - the pinpoint star shows a tail, just like a small comet. This decreases sharpness and contrast considerably. The Maksutov-Newton shows a much sharper star image - for most applications the coma is not visible. This results in a high contrast image all over the field of view - for visual observations and for astrophotography with DSLRs alike. This makes the Maksutov-Newton a ideal all-purpose telescope, that is able to show a sharp field without the need for additional correctors.

The modern mount, featuring precise GoTo control and a user-friendly ExploreStars app, ensures accurate tracking and effortless navigation across the sky. And with the high-quality solar filter, you can safely observe our own star.
The Telescope The compact optics distinguish the Messier MC-127/1900. Its very long 1,900 mm focal length allows relaxed planetary observations at high magnifications. At the same time, the telescope is ideal for mobile use thanks to its short tube. The 127 mm aperture enables you to observe smaller planetary nebulae in the vastness of space. Marvel at the bright filaments of the famous Orion Nebula, or spot the Dumbbell Nebula in the constellation Vulpecula. With the high-quality solar filter, you can safely admire sunspots, eclipses, and planetary transits. (Warning: Never point the telescope at the sun without a solar filter.)
The Mount The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC EXOS-2 PMC-Eight GoTo mount is equipped with a modern and highly precise GoTo control system. It consists of a robust Wi-Fi controller unit that provides all necessary interfaces. The NEMA-11 stepper motors connect directly to this unit by cable, and an ST-4-compatible autoguider interface is also available. Additionally, the control system supports micro-stepping for precise tracking.
Intuitive operation via app and graphic star map The ExploreStars app, developed specifically for the PMC-Eight system, offers an attractive and intuitive user interface. The app displays the alignment stars available for initial setup and all celestial objects in the database as a star map with additional text information. All these objects can be conveniently viewed and selected.
Powerful controller unit with Open GoTo for customization At the core of the controller unit is a fully autonomous 2-channel multi-processor with 8 CPUs and a Wi-Fi Ethernet 10/100 adapter with IP functionality. This setup enables remote operation via browser, ASCOM, app, or serial connection. Open GoTo allows you to write and load custom firmware into the controller, facilitating individual adjustments to device functions as well as creating custom object lists.
Polar finder included The included, pre-mounted polar finder scope enables quick and precise alignment and allows for long exposure times without unwanted star trails. The integrated LED illumination unit further enhances the polar finder’s ease of use.

Featuring an improved design and optical properties, this compact field corrected Maksutov-Cassegrain system is Vixen's answer to Schmidt Cassegrain and more conventional Maksutov Telescopes. Instead of a heavy corrector plate, the Meniscus corrector is located directly in front of the secondary mirror. As a result, the Field-Maksutov does not dew up easily, as most conventional SCT s and Maksutovs do, when exposed to humid air. Thanks to the VMC's open tube system, the optics cool down quickly, ensuring that the telescope is ready for use in no time - again offering advantages over traditional Schmidts and Maksutovs, which can take a long time to acclimatise and reach thermal equilibrium. The long focal length of the VMC allows you to make detailed observations of planets, distant galaxies, individual lunar craters and mountains and many other celestial objects. The mirror is manufactured using an advanced coating deposition technique, normally reserved for research-grade instruments - ensuring an extremely smooth and precisely-finished optical surface. This, combined with the secondary corrector delivers extremely pleasing visual and photographic performance, with a very flat field. Unlike the primary mirrors in many rival SCTs and Maksutovs, the VMC200L's primary is fixed and doesn't travel on a focuser baffle, adding to stability and as a result this telescope does not suffer from "mirror flop" or focus shift. The focuser is a conventional, smooth-running single speed rack and pinion design, which ensures stability, even at high loading. It can be simply upgraded to dual speed use for finer focus control with the X000143 Vixen Dual-Speed-Focuser, if required. The telescope is supplied with a standard Vixen profile mounting dovetail bar and is also supplied with a carry handle, which makes transport and mounting much easier. The carry handle can also double up as a mounting platform for other accessories, if required. The VMC200L is also supplied with Vixen's superb 7x50mm illuminated finderscope, with variable brightness control, to help you guide the telescope accurately to targets.Last, but not least, is the inclusion of Vixen's extremely useful flip mirror system, which allows for mutual mounting of 1.25" eyepieces or accessories. Both eyepiece holders can be unscrewed, revealing a standard T2 mounting thread, which allows easy mounting of many cameras or other photographic accessories to either port. The ability to be able to flip simply between visual use and a camera is of great help when trying to centre and image compact targets - speeding up acquisition of targets and making better use of your time under the night sky.FEATURES
