Stereo microscopes have become an essential tool in life science laboratories. Many experiments in cell culture, developmental biology and cellular biology require a powerful instrument that enables three-dimensional observations with high-resolution, high-precision images of macroscopic objects and cell cultures. Featuring a powerful 18x zoom, the Nexcope NSZ818 is suitable for all of these applications. It produces a high-resolution, high-contrast 3D image that is guaranteed to impress. The powerful microscope includes a high-performance plan-apochromatic lens with a large working distance of 60 mm, which produces images free from chromatic aberration, even at the highest magnification levels. The contrast and depth of field can be adjusted to your object via the adjustable diaphragm. In addition, the 10x wide-field eyepieces have a large 23 mm field of view and are suitable for people who wear glasses, They also feature a rubber pad to prevent damage. When the microscope is used without glasses, the dioptre adjustment can be adjusted on both sides. The camera connection features a switch, which can be used to switch between visual observation and photo mode. In photo mode, the beam path for the right eye is redirected to the camera. The microscope is ready for connection to C-mount cameras (e.g. our MicroCam models). It can be connected to cameras with a sensor format of 1Β without an additional adapter. The heavy metal stand with a glass inlay features a bright, homogeneous LED transmitted-light illuminator as standard. A diaphragm can be inserted into the base for additional contrast. The focusing system consists of a coaxial coarse and fine focusing knob for sensitive focusing, even at high magnifications. The flat base allows you to work ergonomically and safely with a wide range of culture vessels.
Iβnverted microscopes are used for observing cell cultures. The NEXCOPE NIB610 is particularly suitable for this purpose and is very user-friendly and easy to handle. Like all devices of the NIB600 series, the microscope is also prepared for use in sterile workbenches (Clean Bench, Laminar Flow). The UV-resistant coating ensures that the workstation can be sterilised with UV light without any problems. Using an inverted microscope, the sample is illuminated from above and viewed from below through the bottom of the sample vessel. With such an inverted design, the device enables the microscopy of plankton, microalgae and cell cultures directly in the culture vessel without opening the vessel. For example, cell cultures can be observed in so-called 96-well (Terasaki) plates, Petri dishes or special slides with attached wells. The sample does not have to be covered, and the thickness of the layer is also insignificant.Accordingly, this special microscope is used in research institutes and universities, in veterinary medicine, agriculture, marine biology, limnology, aquaculture, etc.OBJECTIVESThe NEXCOPE NIB610 microscope is equipped with a quintuple nosepiece. A planachromatic 4x objective, as well as a 10x, 20x and 40x planachromatic phase contrast objective are already included in the scope of delivery. The objectives are designed for sample vessels with a base thickness of 1.2 mm. This means that standard slides or plates that rest on standard slides can also be used.EYEPIECESThe eyepieces have a large field of view of 22 mm. The high field of view makes them very comfortable even for spectacle wearers. A rubber cup protects against contact. A diopter compensation from -5 to +5 can be set individually for each eyepiece. The interpupillary distance can be adjusted between 48 mm and 75 mm.ILLUMINATIONThe powerful 3W LED can be adjusted in brightness and provides optimal illumination. The adjustment-free condenser allows for quick readiness for use. The phase contrast adjustment is also preset and does not need to be changed when changing magnifications.MECHANICSIn addition to coarse focusing, fine focusing helps to bring the object into focus very precisely. A full turn of the fine focusing knob moves the stage up or down by 0.2 mm. On the right side, the fine focus can be adjusted with a finger. The tension of the coarse focusing knob can be adjusted as desired. The fine focusing knobs are held magnetically and can be set to the left or right, as required. The cross stage offers the possibility of inserting various specimen holders (optional). Thus, slides, 96-well cell culture plates or Petri dishes can be inserted. The microscope can also be operated without a stage. This provides a very large, flat surface, e.g. for larger culture flasks or stacks. If the condenser is removed, a working distance of 187 mm is achieved.CAMERA CONNECTIONThe NEXCOPE NIB610 is specially designed for use with c-mount cameras. Inverted microscopes are primarily used for inspecting cultures. The NEXCOPE NIB620 is the ideal professional microscope for this purpose.
The specimen is illuminated from above and inspected from underneath. This inverted design enables microscopy of plankton, microalgae and cell cultures. This allows cell cultures to be examined directly in the culture vessel without taking samples.
This special microscope can be used in a wide range of applications, such as water management agencies, research institutes and universities, human and veterinary medicine, agriculture, marine biology, limnology and aquaculture.
The inverted design prevents the lenses from coming into contact with the fluid. The specimen does not need to be covered, and the coating thickness is irrelevant. Culture vessels require a base thickness of 1.2 mm.
The integrated display informs you at any time about the selected magnification and the status of the illumination as well as the sleep mode. The brightness can be programmed for each objective so that there is no need to readjust when changing magnification and the user is not blinded.
OBJECTIVESThe NEXCOPE NIB620 microscope is equipped with a quintuple nosepiece. One planachromatic 4x objective, and one each of 10x, 20x and 40x planachromatic phase contrast objectives are included. The condenser has a numerical aperture (N.A.) of 0.3 and an extra-long working distance.
EYEPIECESThe eyepieces have a 22 mm field of view. Thus you achieve a very large field of view. The high eyepiece head is ideal for spectacle wearers. A rubber edge protects against scratches on contact. A diopter compensation of -5 to +5 can be set individually for each eyepiece.
The interpupillary distance can be adjusted between 48 mm and 75 mm. You can adjust the angle of the binocular part according to your posture and physique.
ILLUMINATIONThe powerful 3 W LED has an adjustable brightness and provides the best possible illumination. The brightness can be adjusted individually for each objective. When an objective is changed, the NEXCOPE NIB620 automatically adjusts the previous brightness settings. The display shows the currently selected objective and the current brightness. The adjustment-free condenser enables quick readiness for use. The condenser can be removed for bright field observations in order to create more free space.

Differential interference contrast is now the standard for many professional life science applications. This method achieves aesthetic microscope images with the highest resolution and a very high contrast. As a contrast method, DIC generates impressive optical cuts, and is particularly useful for uncoloured, unfixed samples and living organisms that cannot be compressed. With preparations such as diatoms or radiolaria, it is possible to obtain aesthetic, textbook-quality images. The DIC set works according to the Nomarski method. The light is first polarized and divided into two parallel but spatially separated beam paths by a special prism in the condenser. Depending on the material properties or light refraction, interference occurs between these two parallel beam paths when they pass through the sample. This accentuates certain structures in a pseudo 3D relief. Both beam paths are combined in the DIC slider, which is located behind the objectives; the rotatable polarizing filter then enables the desired contrast effect or the direction of the relief effect to be set and perfectly matched to the sample. In combination with a Nexcope NE900 series microscope, this contrast method provides you with a professional observation instrument for your scientific investigations. It also provides an affordable option for amateur enthusiasts. With the Nexcope DIC, you receive a complete, pre-configured set that you can use without any prior specialist knowledge. Unlike phase contrast, adjustments are not required during the installation process. The DIC set is ready for use in a few simple steps, and the S-Apo objectives can also be used for bright field, dark field or polarization applications. While observing with the NE900 series microscope, you can switch directly between DIC, bright field, polarization or epi-fluorescence.
