FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
The symbol flashes when the air pressure drops sharply within a short period of time. This indicates that a storm or strong winds are very likely approaching. As soon as the air pressure stabilizes, the flashing will stop automatically – it therefore serves as a storm warning.
Please proceed as follows:
Tips:
- Remove all batteries from the base station and the outdoor sensor.
- Wait at least 3–10 minutes.
- Insert the batteries into the base station.
- Once the indoor temperature is displayed, insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor.
The signal should now be detected and the outdoor temperature displayed.
Tips:
- If problems occur, replace all batteries with fresh, non-rechargeable brand batteries. Different battery types or charge levels may cause interference.
- Do not place the base station near other electronic devices (this may interfere with reception).
- If necessary, choose a different location for the base station.
If pressing the “DCF” button on the back does not help, reset the station:
- Briefly press the reset button on the back with a pen
- If necessary, place the station closer to a window, as reception inside buildings may be limited

No more getting caught in the rain: The BRESSER 4-day 4CAST Wi-Fi Weather Station with a 7-in-1 sensor will give you advanced warnings about unsettled weather. Thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi function, the weather station can retrieve a wide range of data from the ProWeatherLive platform, which is used to produce a 4-day weather forecast - including high and low temperature as well as chance of rainfall. As well as weather forecast symbols, the weather station also shows all the data from your 7-in-1 wireless sensor, including the temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, UV level and light intensity. The data can be transmitted at a range of up to 150 metres and is displayed on the base station's stylish colour display.
What's more, you can also share your local readings on ProWeatherLive so that other users can view your data. Data uploaded to ProWeatherLive can be accessed remotely using the mobile app. You can also connect the weather station to the Austrian weather portal AWEKAS so that you can transmit your weather data free of charge to your smart home system. Additional base station – monitor the indoor climate in another room
If your existing base station is in the living room, you can place a second base station in the kitchen or your child’s bedroom to view your local weather data in an additional room. The base station features a built-in thermo-hygro sensor, which measures the ambient temperature and humidity and displays a smiley symbol to indicate the quality of the indoor climate. You can then take effective measures to prevent the risk of mould or dry air.
The additional base station is also ideal as a bedside clock. It features a built-in backlight that can be dimmed or switched off completely to ensure you get a good night’s sleep. But where should you put the base station? In the living room, your whole family will benefit from being able to glance quickly at the clear 21 cm TRUE BLACK colour display. But wouldn’t it also be great in the bedroom, so that as soon as you’ve switched off the alarm you’ll know whether blue sky and sunshine await? With this additional BRESSER base station, you don’t need to decide on just one room. Simply connect to your 7-in-1 external sensor and you have immediate access to your measured values in another room. You can count on the usual functions whenever you need them, including reliable local weather trend forecasts for the next 12 hours, displayed as graphics, so know when to organize a spontaneous BBQ. In the winter months, the frost alarm will alert you when the external temperature falls below -3 °C: Caution, risk of black ice! You can also see the date, day of the week, time and moon phases so you have an idea of the ‘signs of the times’. Plus, for a more long-term view, the memory function stores historical measured data from the past 24 hours.

The additional BRESSER base station allows you to respond to unusual situations like these with utmost flexibility, as two stations mean two separate measured results for indoor temperature, humidity and air pressure. Position the device in a critical location and the integrated sensor will measure the current room temperature, humidity and air pressure at that location. A graphical room climate indicator will alert you when the air is optimal, too dry or too damp. In addition, you can also set an independent maximum/minimum value alarm with audible and light signal on the additional station itself.

Wi-Fi weather station – feature-packed base station for monitoring the weather
In addition to displaying the measurements from the outdoor sensor, the base station also features a number of other useful functions for keeping track of the weather. These include a weather forecast and the feels-like temperature, which will point you to the right side of your wardrobe. And if you want to know how strong the wind is blowing, you will find data on gusts, average wind speed and the current wind speed on the Beaufort scale. The BRESSER Beaufort 5-in-1 Weather Station has everything you need to stay on top of the weather. The weather station also has a large colour display with an intuitive, easy-to-read layout. Thanks to the elegant design, the device blends in perfectly in any home - from a country house to minimalist decor. The outdoor temperature and humidity readings from the 5-in-1 outdoor sensor are supplemented by the integrated thermal/hygro sensor on the base station, which provides precise data on indoor temperature, humidity and air pressure. And so that you always know which way the wind is blowing from - as well as how much it's rained - the weather station also features an anemometer and a rain gauge.
Practical features and useful weather data
Featuring an outdoor sensor, the weather station offers numerous features to keep you meteorologically informed throughout the day. For example, the graphic weather forecast will show you what kind of weather you can expect over the next 12 hours. Meanwhile, the perceived ('feels like') temperature factors in the impact of wind and humidity on the outdoor temperature, and helps you to choose the right clothes. In addition to the dew point, wind chill and heat index, the weather station also shows you the wind speed using the Beaufort index so that you always know how strong the wind is blowing.
However, it's not just the outdoor conditions that are important. The weather station also features a graphic indoor climate indicator, which uses a smiley to show you whether the indoor temperature and humidity are at an optimal level. If your struggle with mildew or dry air, you can set a maximum and minimum value alarm that informs you when the preset limits have been reached. This alarm can also be set for the other measured values. If you're a keen meteorologist or gardener and want to follow recent trends in weather, the weather station also features a historical bar chart for precipitation and air pressure, as well as a min/max value memory.
Radio-controlled clock with built-in alarm
In addition to extensive meteorological data, the weather station also features a radio-controlled clock that sets the time automatically. After it has been connected to the power supply, the base station automatically searches for the corresponding radio signal. A few minutes later, the time, date and day of the week will appear on the display, together with the current moon phase. (PLEASE SET HOUR OFFSET TO -1 IN THE TIME SETTING MENU IF IN THE UK, IRELAND OR PORTUGAL TO RECEIVE THE CORRECT TIME FOR THESE AREAS).
The weather station is ideal for bedrooms: the built-in light sensor automatically adjusts the display brightness to the surroundings so that your sleep is not disturbed.
