How Temperature Measurement Helps Save Energy

Did you know? Lowering the room temperature by just 1 degree can save up to 6 percent of energy. It's worth paying close attention when heating. With the integrated thermometer in our weather stations and thermo-hygrometers, you can always keep an eye on the current room temperature – allowing you to adjust your heating habits to save energy. Has the temperature reached a level that's comfortable for you? Then the thermostat can be turned down a bit to maintain the room temperature and save money.

Practical everyday helpers: Some models also offer a high-low temperature alarm that alerts you with a sound when your individually set temperatures are reached. This additional base station allows you to view the weather data from your BRESSER 4-day 4CAST Wi-Fi weather centre in an additional room. It features a stylish colour display, which shows the readings from your 7-in-1 sensor (not included) as well as data from the ProWeatherLife platform. For example, you can place the additional base station in your bedroom to view the measurements for outdoor temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, UV level and light intensity as well as the 4-day weather forecast with maximum/minimum temperature and probability of rain – perfect for helping you to choose the right outfit before heading out for the day. The additional base station also displays a range of other useful data, including the perceived temperature, sunburn time, Beaufort level and historical data.

The weather centre base station also features a built-in alarm with a snooze function. And during the winter, you can enable the frost alarm, which makes the alarm go off 30 minutes earlier when the outdoor temperature drops below -3 °C.

Additional base station—monitor the indoor climate in another room

In addition to the outdoor weather conditions, the indoor temperature and humidity are also important for our wellbeing. For example, bathrooms and kitchens are particularly prone to developing mildew due to their high moisture levels. However, excessively dry air, which can be caused by central heating in the winter, can also be detrimental to your health. No more getting caught in the rain: The BRESSER 4-day 4CAST Wi-Fi Weather Station with a 7-in-1 sensor will give you advanced warnings about unsettled weather. Thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi function, the weather station can retrieve a wide range of data from the ProWeatherLive platform, which is used to produce a 4-day weather forecast - including high and low temperature as well as chance of rainfall. As well as weather forecast symbols, the weather station also shows all the data from your 7-in-1 wireless sensor, including the temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, UV level and light intensity. The data can be transmitted at a range of up to 150 metres and is displayed on the base station's stylish colour display.What's more, you can also share your local readings on ProWeatherLive so that other users can view your data. Data uploaded to ProWeatherLive can be accessed remotely using the mobile app. You can also connect the weather station to the Austrian weather portal AWEKAS so that you can transmit your weather data free of charge to your smart home system. But, even if your outdoor sensor is permanently damaged beyond repair, there's no need to buy a whole new weather station simply to keep an eye on the weather. Your base station can continue to function perfectly. This sensor is the perfect replacement part for your 4-day 4CAST WiFi weather centre. The device is operated in much the same way as you are used to: Start by inserting the batteries (not included). Then, fit the replacement sensor in your preferred location using the installation material supplied. Once everything has been tightened up, all you need to do is connect to your base station (not included). You can also connect the station to the Internet and the ProWeatherLive server to obtain a 6-day weather forecast and information on visibility and cloud cover. Additional base station – more space for your weather data In addition to displaying data, the additional base station can also take its own measurements of the ambient indoor conditions. Thanks to the built-in sensor, it can measure the indoor temperature, humidity and air pressure for your current location. It also features a comfort indicator for the indoor climate. When a smiley face is displayed, no action is needed. Otherwise, you’ll need to monitor the conditions or take action to prevent mildew or dry air. Of course, the additional base station also displays all important data on the sun, wind and other weather conditions that you’re used to seeing from your solar weather station. For example, measurements such as the perceived temperature, sunburn time in minutes and the Beaufort index can help you to choose the right clothes before heading out for the day. There is also a maximum/minimum memory to give an overview of the recent weather conditions. Perfect timing from morning till night The base station is ideal for bedrooms – thanks to the built-in alarm with snooze function, you’re guaranteed to wake up on time. There’s also a practical function for cold winter days: if you enable the frost alarm, the alarm goes off 30 minutes earlier when the temperature drops below -3 °C, giving you plenty of time to get to work or school safely. In addition, the time, date and day of the week are synced automatically via the Internet and displayed on the screen. If you enjoy observing the moon, you will also find the current moon phase displayed as a graphic at the top of the screen. The additional base station also displays the sunrise/sunset and moonrise/moonset times.
