Microscope slides with a micrometer scale are used for the calibration for measurements.They are used in combination with a micrometer eyepiece or a measurement software (for cameras) in order to measure preparations. The broad scale is suitable for lower magnifications, the fine scale for higher magnifications.

To enhance contrast according to the refraction index and the thickness of the preparations. The phase contrast set contains four different irises, four different phase contrast objectives (10x, 20x, 40x, 100x oil) and a green color filter. A collimating eyepiece allows easy aligning. This method is especially suitable for non-stained, low contrast samples (epithelium cells, amoeba, white blood cells) and will also help with visibility of bacteria. Therefore it is used in cell culture and life science where color staining cannot be used. One position of the filter holder is free. Thus the phase contrast set can also be used as a brightfield condenser with iris diaphragm. This phase contrast set fits the Science Infinity (item No.: 5760700) microscope. This crosshair micrometer eyepiece enables the measurement of a specimen. The crossed scale facilitates horizontal and vertical measurement without rotating the eyepiece. For optimal visibility, the crosshair is focusable. The barrel diameter is 30 mm, allowing for a large field of view of 22 mm. An additional micrometer slide is required for calibration. Two different measuring slides are available: A measuring scale (Item No. 5916710): 1 mm, divided into 0.01 mm increments. Two measuring scales (Item No. 5916720): 10 mm, divided into 0.1 mm increments, and 1 mm, divided into 0.01 mm increments. The BRESSER Science ETD-201 is a high-quality stereo reflected-light and transmitted-light microscope. It is perfectly qualified for medical applications, the use in agriculture and forestry, in criminology, in academic and scientific institutes and schools, as well as for the assembly and quality assurance of components in precision mechanics and electronic engineering. The extra wide foot with stage and exceptionally tall height range permit observations of large objects. The integrated reflected- and transmitted-light illumination can be used in combination and is dimmable. The angle of incidence can be user-friendly adjusted and locked in position. A continuous range of magnification from 8x to 50x is possible with the exchangeable wide field eyepieces (WF 10x) and the 6.25-times stereo zoom objective lens (0,8x-5x).The interpupillary distance and dioptre compensation can be adjusted individually.
