The 10x eyepiece is suitable for all microscopes with 23.2mm eyepiece tube diameter. This diameter is widely used in stereo microscopes, also from other brands or manufacturers. Please select the eyepiece magnification in correspondence to the objective you are using. A low objective magnification allows for a higher magnification of the eyepiece. For example, combined with 4x or 10x objectives, eyepieces with 20x or 25x magnification can be used without loss of image quality. With a 100x objective, a 10x or 12.5x eyepiece is usually the highest recommended eyepiece magnification. To calculate the maximum useful magnification, consider the numerical aperture (N. A.) of the objective lens: numerical aperture of the objective lens x 1000 = max. useful magnification Here is a typical example: for a 10x objective with numerical aperture NA 0.25, a maximum of 250x magnification can be realized. This is realized with a 25x eyepiece. The numerical aperture is usually printed besides the magnification factor on many objectives. Magnifications beyond the max. useful magnification do not show any further details (so-called “empty magnification”) and are therefore not recommended. The MikroCam MINI Full HD HDMI is a very compact HDMI camera. No PC or laptop is needed to use it, simply connect to a monitor, TV, beamer or smartboard. This makes the camera especially suited for teaching. As a plus, you can also mount the BRESSER HDMI display (item no. 5914120) directly on the camera. Connection via HDMI is easy and the camera is ready to go instantly. No software installation, PC setup etc. is necessary. The lossless data transfer ensures a good image quality and the image is lag free and with a constant high framerate of 60fps. This is especially helpful when digitizing a microscope workplace in QC or production With the included mouse, you can control the camera via 3 distinctive on screen menus (camera control, settings, measurements). To calibrate measurements, please add a calibration slide (e.g. item no. 5916720). The camera is well suited for presentations, lectures etc. because upon startup it is working directly in auto mode with no user input. The camera does not have a start button, it is working directly after power up. Menus and mouse icon are not visible if the mouse is not connected. The image plane of many telescopes is not plane, but curved. This results in a picture that has its optimal focus only in the center of the field of view - the edge of the field is out of focus and thus unsharp. The human eye is able to accomodate most of this but a camera will show stars that get increasingly unsharp towards the edge of the field.
