Because of the large aperture it is even possible to use nebular filters on the Messer AR-127S. These filters can enhance the appearance of emission nebulae to en astonishing contrast level. The special four lens construction delivers a better perfomance than a classical two lens achromat of this focal length.The short tube and the rigid mount also make this combination ideal for short easy viewing sessions, especially if the telescope has to be moved for observation.

One of the most important obstacles for the exploration of the night sky
is the brightening of the night sky by artificial lights, such as
streetlights. The night sky is not really dark in the vicinity of towns
or cities, which reduces the visibility of objects beyond the solar
systems enormously. Depending on the type of the celestial object it is
possible to increase the contrast dramatically by blocking the annoying artificial light. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC O-III filter uses a characteristic property of the so called emission nebulae.
Those objects glow in special colours, the so called emission lines.
Those emission lines are linked to chemical elements - in this case

Besides air turbulence, the brightening of the night sky is the biggest obstacle to observing faint objects beyond the solar system. Street lamps and other artificial lighting mean that the sky in human settlements is no longer really black. This affects the contrast and thus the perception of deep-sky objects. Depending on the type of celestial object, however, part of disturbing artificial light can be filtered out, making it easier to observe fainter targets.The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC CITY LIGHT SUPRESSION - or CLS - filter uses the fact that the artificial lighting is not evenly distributed over the entire spectrum. The image plane of many telescopes is not plane, but curved. The Mount The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC EXOS-2 PMC-Eight GoTo mount is equipped with a modern and highly precise GoTo control system. It consists of a robust Wi-Fi controller unit that provides all necessary interfaces. The NEMA-11 stepper motors are directly connected to this unit via cable, and a ST-4-compatible autoguider interface is also available. Additionally, the control system supports microstep operation to ensure precise tracking.
Intuitive operation via app and graphical star chart The ExploreStars app, specially developed for the PMC-Eight system, impresses with its graphically successful, intuitive user interface. The currently available alignment stars for system initialisation, as well as all celestial objects in the database, are displayed as a star chart with additional text information. All these objects can be easily viewed and selected.
Powerful controller unit with Open GoTo for customisation The heart of the controller unit consists of a fully autonomous 2-channel multi-processor with 8 CPUs and a Wi-Fi Ethernet 10/100 adapter with IP functionality. This enables remote control via browser, ASCOM, app, or serial connection. With Open GoTo, you can also write your own firmware and load it into the controller unit, allowing for custom adjustments to the device functions and the creation of your own object lists.
Polar finder included The pre-installed and included polar finder scope enables quick and precise polar alignment and long exposure times without unwanted star trails. The integrated LED lighting unit further enhances the usability of the polar finder.

The mount is controlled via pre-installed web-app software, accessible via WIFI and Ethernet cable connection. The philosophy behind the Nebula GoTo system is to provide the user with a control system independent of a standard PC, which can be remotely controlled via a smart device such as a mobile phone or tablet. However, this does not exclude the traditional use of computers of all types and brands, which can be connected to the system either wired or wirelessly.
The BRESSER Nebula GoTo System Controller is a Raspberry Pi 4 microcomputer, which allows complete control of the setup (mount, camera, etc...) without the need for any other external device. The BRESSER Nebula GoTo system comes equipped with all Linux-based applications required for performing all astrophotographic functions.The existing INDI environment allows for the control of almost all devices (cameras, filter wheels, rotators, etc., including observatory domes) needed for local or remote astrophotography sessions.
The system also offers high flexibility for users who prefer to use traditional computer client applications such as Cart du Ciel (Star Chart), TheSkyX, SkySafari, Stellarium, and other planetarium programs as well as SGP, Nina, CCD Ciel, and other astrophotography tools. Here, the Nebula mount shows its full strength. Whether mobile or stationary, the capability for remote operation is crucial. Then use the pre-installed Kstars/EKOS software to control the mount and all external devices such as cameras, motor focus, filter wheel, etc. Alternatively, you can also directly control the unit with your own software. Would you like to adapt multiple optics? No problem. Simply use the option to replace the counterweight bar with another telescope. Use the second optic as a counterweight to the main telescope. Set the Nebula 5 to azimuthal mode, remove the counterweight bar, and screw a suitable second telescope clamp directly onto the mount.
