One of the most important obstacles for the exploration of the night sky is the brightening of the night sky by artificial lights, such as streetlights. The night sky is not really dark in the vicinity of towns or cities, which reduces the visibility of objects beyond the solar system enormously. Depending on the type of the celestial object, it is possible to dramatically increase the contrast by blocking annoying artificial light. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC UHC filter "zeros in" on the wavelengths of so-called emission nebulae. Those objects glow in special colours - their emission lines. Those emission lines are linked to chemical elements - in this case hydrogen at 486nm and 656nm, plus oxygen at 496nm and 501nm. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC UHC nebula filter blocks all other colour wavelengths (and thereby nearly all of artificial light) and only the emission line of the hydrogen and oxygen can pass the filter. The result is astonishing: suddenly nebulae are visible at locations that were completely invisible from, without filters. In suburban skies, for example the Owl-nebula M97, the Veil-nebula NGC 6992 or even the bright Dumbell-nebula M27 are not clearly visible. Using this filter allows you to see nebulae and their structures in much finer detail. A must for every visual observer.

The BRESSER Messier 6 inch Planetary Dobson is something very special. Despite its low price, it offers a variety of functions and quality, which you sometimes look for in the considerably more expensive devices in vain. With an aperture diameter of 150 mm and a focal length of 1200 mm of this high quality BRESSER newtonian optics, the observation of the moon, the planets and planetary nebulae is particularly well possible. Craters and grooves of the moon as well as the fast changing shadows cast by the so-called terminator line are exciting observation targets. Saturn with its impressive ring, Jupiter with its bands of clouds and the movement of its easily visible moons, the crescent shape of Venus and the glowing red Mars are good examples of what this telescope can be used for.
Because of the long basic focal length you can easily achieve the high magnifications required for this purpose with this telescope. You do not need expensive special eyepieces. In short, this is a telescope primarily for detailed observation. Nevertheless bright deep sky objects like the Orion Nebula or the galaxies Messier 81 and 82 etc. can be observed as well.
Also photography is no problem with this tube. Here is another strength of this telescope: if you want to take pictures, you can simply unscrew the altitude wheels from the tube and put them on a EQ mount with an optionally available dovetail rail - and nothing more stands in the way of astrophotography. The included eyepiece adapter has the common T2 connection thread (M42x0.75mm), to which almost every standard camera can be attached. Only the camera specific T2 adapter ring is additionally required. Of course, also common USB planetary cameras with 1.25 inch or 2 inch plug diameter can be used directly with this telescope. With the original equipment you can observe immediately - an optical 6x30 viewfinder and a 25 mm SPL eyepiece are included. For those who want to transport the device as compact as possible, the new 6'' BRESSER Messier Planet Dobson makes it very easy - the rocker box can be disassembled in a few easy steps, because the parts are assembled with metal quick connectors. Equipped with a 940nm infrared LED illumination, this digital camera can be used both day and night for stunning close-up pics of the small animal. The camera has a motion sensor, with a range of about 1 m, which triggers the camera when an animal flies in front of the camera. Small movements of trees or shrubs are thus prevented. It is also suitable for all seasons due to its rainproof housing.
Not only photos are possible with this camera. Also video recordings, optionally of 5.10, 20, 30 seconds, 1 minute or 5min in length, can be recorded. The camera can be used during the day (color images) and thanks to the infrared lighting during the night (black and white). The unrivalled rigidity of the focuser makes focusing easy - so photography with this tube is also possible. This is another strength of this universal telescope: if you want to take photos, you can simply unscrew the altitude wheels from the tube and attach it to an equatorial mount using a dovetail bar - so there's nothing standing in the way of astrophotography. An optional 10:1 gear reduction for the focuser is available for the highest demands. We now proudly present the second generation of this telescope, the BRESSER NT-203s/800 with Hexafoc and fast parabolic main mirror. The Bresser NT-203s/800 f3.9 will deliver you deeper images due to its - compared to 8" f/5 systems - oversized primary mirror and therefore faster optical system with the same exposure time. The big 85 mm secondary prevents vignetting for optimal illumination The excellent 2,5" Hexafoc focuser also does not cause vignetting due to its large diameter and makes focussing a joy - the smoothness and shifting-free operation sets new standards in this price class. This groundbreaking focuser, tube rings with 44mm universal standard dovetail and camera mounting feature and a high-end finderscope with haircross and laser-engraved scale leave nothing to desire even for demanding astrophotographers. The NT-203s/800 Hexafoc has a classical tube construction with an aluminium tube. The focuser can be upgraded with a 10:1 reduction (part No. 0625720) without problems. Also prepared for use with the HR Coma Corrector (part No. 0510330) which eliminates coma, field-curvature and astigmatism. BRESSER EXOS-2 GoTo Equatorial Mount. Mount, tripod and hand box with computer. This German mount has tracking motors in both axes that follow celestial objects very precisely. The handbox with GoTo works reliable and controls the mount in every situation. Precise ball bearings in both axes ensures minimal backlash at all nine possible tracking speeds. The battery pack (12 V) is conveniently fastened to the tripod shelf and takes eight size D batteries.
The mount rests on a very tough and rigid stainless steel tripod and can take optical tubes of up to 13 kg. GOTO Stargazing at the push of a button !
