One of the most important obstacles for the exploration of the night sky
is the brightening of the night sky by artificial lights, such as
streetlights. The night sky is not really dark in the vicinity of towns
or cities, which reduces the visibility of objects beyond the solar
systems enormously. Depending on the type of the celestial object it is
possible to increase the contrast dramatically by blocking the annoying artificial light. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC O-III filter uses a characteristic property of the so called emission nebulae.
Those objects glow in special colours, the so called emission lines.
Those emission lines are linked to chemical elements - in this case
oxygen. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC O-III nebula filter blocks all other colours (and thereby nearly all of the artificial light) and only the two emission lines of the oxygen can pass the filter.

Besides air turbulence, the brightening of the night sky is the biggest obstacle to observing faint objects beyond the solar system. Street lamps and other artificial lighting mean that the sky in human settlements is no longer really black. This affects the contrast and thus the perception of deep-sky objects. Depending on the type of celestial object, however, part of disturbing artificial light can be filtered out, making it easier to observe fainter targets.The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC CITY LIGHT SUPRESSION - or CLS - filter uses the fact that the artificial lighting is not evenly distributed over the entire spectrum. The binoculars have an 8x zoom. This means that a wild animal 800 metres away appears to be just 100 metres in front of you. The binoculars are also great for birdwatching. Thanks to the 101 metre field of view at a distance of 1000 m you can keep track of the surroundings in the sky. The large lens diameter of 56 mm ensures that the binoculars let in plenty of light, resulting in a bright image.
Focusing
The binoculars feature a sturdy central focusing wheel so that you can obtain a sharp image of what you want to see in no time. What's more, you're not just restricted to distant objects. Thanks to the close focus, which can be adjusted for objects at a distance of 3 metres or more, you can also make close-up observations of your imediate surroundings.
Also suitable for spectacle wearers
The 8x56 binoculars are also suitable for glasses wearers, as they are equipped with twist-up eyecups so that you can adjust the distance between your eyes and the ocular lenses and use the entire field of view, even when wearing glasses. The dioptre compensation of +/-4 allows you to quickly compensate for differences in vision between your left and right eyes.
Coating
The Primax 8x56 binoculars feature a premium BaK-4 glass material (barium crown glass) to ensure the best possible image. The glass has a full multi-layert coating to increase light transmission and reduce reflections.
Portable design
As a pair of rrof-prism binoculars, the Primax 8x56 have a compact design and are ideal for on-the-go use. They also come with a neck strap so that you can hang the binoculars around your neck for easy access when you see something interesting. After use, the binoculars can be stored in the practical carry case. The protective dust caps protect the sensitive lenses on the objectives and eyepieces.

We now proudly present the second generation of this telescope, the BRESSER NT-203s/800 with Hexafoc and fast parabolic main mirror. The Bresser NT-203s/800 f3.9 will deliver you deeper images due to its - compared to 8" f/5 systems - oversized primary mirror and therefore faster optical system with the same exposure time. The big 85 mm secondary prevents vignetting for optimal illumination The excellent 2,5" Hexafoc focuser also does not cause vignetting due to its large diameter and makes focussing a joy - the smoothness and shifting-free operation sets new standards in this price class. This groundbreaking focuser, tube rings with 44mm universal standard dovetail and camera mounting feature and a high-end finderscope with haircross and laser-engraved scale leave nothing to desire even for demanding astrophotographers. The NT-203s/800 Hexafoc has a classical tube construction with an aluminium tube. The focuser can be upgraded with a 10:1 reduction (part No. 0625720) without problems.
