The Mount The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC EXOS-2 PMC-Eight GoTo Mount is equipped with a modern and very precise GoTo control system. It consists of a robust Wi-Fi controller unit that provides all the necessary interfaces. The NEMA-11 stepper motors are directly connected to this unit via cable, and an ST-4 compatible autoguider interface is also available. In addition, the control system supports micro-stepping to ensure precise tracking. Intuitive operation via app and graphical star chart The ExploreStars App, developed specifically for the PMC-Eight system, impresses with a very well-designed, intuitive user interface. The currently available alignment stars for initializing the control system, as well as all celestial objects in the database, are displayed as a star chart with additional text information. All these objects can be easily viewed and selected. Powerful controller unit with Open GoTo for customization The heart of the controller unit consists of a completely autonomous 2-channel multi-processor with 8 CPUs and a Wi-Fi Ethernet 10/100 adapter with IP function. This allows remote operation via browser, ASCOM, app, or serial connection. The Open GoTo also allows you to write your own firmware and upload it to the controller unit. This enables custom adjustments to the device’s functions as well as the creation of custom object lists, etc. Polar finder included The included and pre-installed polar finder scope allows for quick and precise alignment and long exposure times without unwanted star trails. Because of the extra long focal length ratio F/13.2 this telescope offers incredible sharpness and contrast but extremly low color-aberration. Mount and Tripod. The BRESSER Messier beginners series of telescopes. Within this series you find smaller optics mounted stable on the new BRESSER EXOS 1 mount. This combination means more value for money and puts an end to flimsy beginners scopes which discourage most of the beginners due to small, under engineered mounts. We now proudly present the second generation of this telescope, the BRESSER NT-203s/800 with Hexafoc and fast parabolic main mirror. The Bresser NT-203s/800 f3.9 will deliver you deeper images due to its - compared to 8" f/5 systems - oversized primary mirror and therefore faster optical system with the same exposure time. The big 85 mm secondary prevents vignetting for optimal illumination The excellent 2,5" Hexafoc focuser also does not cause vignetting due to its large diameter and makes focussing a joy - the smoothness and shifting-free operation sets new standards in this price class. This groundbreaking focuser, tube rings with 44mm universal standard dovetail and camera mounting feature and a high-end finderscope with haircross and laser-engraved scale  leave nothing to desire even for demanding astrophotographers. The NT-203s/800 Hexafoc has a classical tube construction with an aluminium tube. The focuser can be upgraded with a 10:1 reduction (part No. 0625720) without problems. Also prepared for use with the HR Coma Corrector (part No. 0510330) which eliminates coma, field-curvature and astigmatism. BRESSER EXOS-2 GoTo Equatorial Mount. Mount, tripod and hand box with computer. This German mount has tracking motors in both axes that follow celestial objects very precisely. The handbox with GoTo works reliable and controls the mount in every situation. Precise ball bearings in both axes ensures minimal backlash at all nine possible tracking speeds. The battery pack (12 V) is conveniently fastened to the tripod shelf and takes eight size D batteries. The mount rests on a very tough and rigid stainless steel tripod and can take optical tubes of up to 13 kg. GOTO Stargazing at the push of a button !
