In the past few years the Bresser Newton telescopes have become the standard workhorse for Deep Sky astrophotography. We now proudly present the second generation of this telescope, the Bresser NT-203s/800 with Hexafoc and a fast parabolic main mirror. The Bresser NT-203s/800 f3.9 will deliver you deeper images due to its - compared to 8" f/5 systems - oversized primary mirror and therefore faster optical system with the same exposure time. The big 85 mm secondary prevents vignetting for optimal illumination The excellent 2.5" Hexafoc focuser also does not cause vignetting due to its large diameter and makes focussing a joy - the smoothness and shifting-free operation sets new standards in this price class. This groundbreaking focuser, tube rings with 44mm universal standard dovetail and camera mounting feature and a high-end finderscope with haircross and laser-engraved scale  leave nothing to desire even for demanding astrophotographers. The NT-203s/800 Hexafoc has a classical tube construction with an aluminium tube. The focuser can be upgraded with a 10:1 reduction (part No. 0625720) without problems. Ready to use with the  HR Coma Corrector (part No. 0510330) which eliminates coma, field-curvature and astigmatism.

Please note: Reflector telescopes with optical design Newton are very good for astronomical observing at the starry night sky. But these telescopes are not well usable for observing landscape and nature during daylight. Therefore we suggest BRESSER refractor (lens) telescopes for landscape and nature observing.

Warning notes
  • Check the solar filter before every solar observation and ensure that it is not damaged. Hold it against a strong light source to detect any possible cracks and/or holes. Do not use the telescope for solar observation, even if the solar filter is only slightly damaged. In this case, contact the manufacturer for the appropriate replacement parts.
  • Always use the included solar filter when observing the sun. Make sure it is correctly attached to the telescope according to the instructions. The use of the solar filter is only intended in connection with this telescope.
  • Never look at the sun through an eyepiece/telescope without a certified protection filter. A moon filter can never be used for solar observation. The moon filter is only suitable for moon observation. The solar filter must be mounted in front of the telescope opening, not at the eyepiece. Otherwise, the concentrated light beam through the optics will immediately destroy the filter foil, leading to severe eye damage, including permanent blindness.
  • Check the secure fit of the solar filter before each solar observation. An accidental detachment from the objective opening can lead to immediate and permanent eye damage and blindness.
  • If the solar filter cannot be securely attached to the tube, improve the fit by placing several self-adhesive felt strips or similar between the solar filter and the objective opening. Never use the solar filter if it cannot be properly mounted on the telescope. In such a case, always contact our customer service first.
  • Be extremely cautious when observing the sun. A brief look through the unprotected optics will immediately cause severe eye damage, potentially leading to complete blindness.
  • Children should not look at the sun through the telescope, even with the filter properly installed. Never leave children unsupervised.
  • Never leave the optics unattended. Children and inexperienced adults could point the telescope at the sun without proper precautions and lose their eyesight.
  • Do not observe the sun after eye surgeries or other eye conditions without prior medical consultation.
  • Wrinkles/creases in the film are normal and do not indicate a product defect.
  • Do not expose the device to high temperatures.
  • BATTERY WARNING AND SAFETY Safe handling and use of batteries and accumulators Read and follow these instructions before using the battery or accumulator. To the extent permitted by law, failure to comply with these warnings and instructions may result in any damage caused to your product not being covered by the warranty. In this document, the term "batteries" also includes accumulators. Follow these instructions to ensure optimal safety and performance: DO NOT use counterfeit batteries in products. Only use supplied batteries. Use the battery SOLELY for its intended purpose. Keep batteries out of the reach of children and pets. Charging may be temporarily suspended if the battery temperature exceeds 60 °C (140 °F). If the battery is hot but the temperature is under 60 °C (140 °F), the battery will still charge, but more slowly than usual. Avoid dropping the battery or the product with the battery inside. If dropped onto a hard surface, the battery or product may be damaged. If you suspect the battery might be damaged, replace it. For optimal results and performance, batteries should be replaced after 12 months or earlier depending on usage. Follow local regulations for the disposal of used batteries. Do not throw the battery into fire or water.

EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC HR Coma Corrector
After three years of testing and refining we are extremely proud to present the new Explore Scientific High Resolution (HR) Coma Corrector. This corrector is a class of it´s own - it is fully functional for visual use and expands the focal length by only 6%! The Explore Scientific Coma Correktor is delivered as a complete set together with a rotating helical focuser with laser-etched scale, so you get a full package: corrector, adaptor to T2 (M42x0.75mm), adaptor to M48 (M48x0.75) and the helical focuser for visual fun. This coma corrector really is "high resolution" - it deliveres a visual polystrehl performance of 0,98 at f/4 and 0,96 at f/3! So it can stay in the telescope - and you will not only enjoy a tack-sharp Jupiter, but aslo sharp and defined moons in the future! What this means in terms of performance is shown in the three pictures with the graphs - the sharpness increase in those comparisons with and without corrector are stunning (examples are 400mm f/4, f/3,5 and f/3). Please notice: These graphs are for FLAT FIELD! You will get this performance without refocussing! Diameter of the field is 30mm - it doesn´t make sense to increase this with 2" and fast optical systems. After three years of testing and refining we are extremely proud to present the new Explore Scientific High Resolution (HR) Coma Corrector. This corrector is a class of it´s own - it is fully functional for visual use and expands the focal length by only 6%! The Explore Scientific Coma Correktor is delivered as a complete set together with a rotating helical focuser with laser-etched scale, so you get a full package: corrector, adaptor to T2 (M42x0.75mm), adaptor to M48 (M48x0.75) and the helical focuser for visual fun. This coma corrector really is "high resolution" - it deliveres a visual polystrehl performance of 0,98 at f/4 and 0,96 at f/3! So it can stay in the telescope - and you will not only enjoy a tack-sharp Jupiter, but aslo sharp and defined moons in the future! What this means in terms of performance is shown in the three pictures with the graphs - the sharpness increase in those comparisons with and without corrector are stunning (examples are 400mm f/4, f/3,5 and f/3). Please notice: These graphs are for FLAT FIELD! You will get this performance without refocussing! Diameter of the field is 30mm - it doesn´t make sense to increase this with 2" and fast optical systems. Despite the low price, it offers a variety of functions and quality that are sometimes unavailable in considerably more expensive telescopes. With its 254 mm diameter optics, this telescope is not limited to solar system observation of the Moon and brighter planets - you can also observe far out into the universe and see globular clusters, nebulae and galaxies. Details become visible in most deep-sky objects: globular clusters are broken down into individual stars and nebulae, which are only hinted at in smaller scopes, show considerable structure. This Dobsonian is unsurpassed in versatility within its price range: the excellent, large Hexafoc focuser has an opening of 65 mm - so even with large wide-field eyepieces, there is no noticeable vignetting from the eyepiece extension tube.
