FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
The symbol flashes when the air pressure drops sharply within a short period of time. This indicates that a storm or strong winds are very likely approaching. As soon as the air pressure stabilizes, the flashing will stop automatically – it therefore serves as a storm warning.
Please proceed as follows:
Tips:
- Remove all batteries from the base station and the outdoor sensor.
- Wait at least 3–10 minutes.
- Insert the batteries into the base station.
- Once the indoor temperature is displayed, insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor.
The signal should now be detected and the outdoor temperature displayed.
Tips:
- If problems occur, replace all batteries with fresh, non-rechargeable brand batteries. Different battery types or charge levels may cause interference.
- Do not place the base station near other electronic devices (this may interfere with reception).
- If necessary, choose a different location for the base station.
If pressing the “DCF” button on the back does not help, reset the station:
- Briefly press the reset button on the back with a pen
- If necessary, place the station closer to a window, as reception inside buildings may be limited

The BRESSER Professional rain gauge shows the detailed rain measurement values in millimetres, but also the indoor and outdoor temperature is displayed precisely. The rain gauge has a radio distance of 150m outdoors. The radio range is achieved by the 868 Megahertz radio signal. The base station can determine temperature and humidity and can also show the rain readings hourly, daily, weekly, monthly or annualy. It is equipped with a graphical histogram.

Equipped with a 940nm infrared LED illumination, this digital camera can be used both day and night for stunning close-up pics of the small animal. The camera has a motion sensor, with a range of about 1 m, which triggers the camera when an animal flies in front of the camera. Small movements of trees or shrubs are thus prevented. It is also suitable for all seasons due to its rainproof housing.

The new BRESSER Weather Station 5-in-1 combines in a unique way a compact design with an extensive information service. The very compact and multifunctional outdoor sensor requires only little space and thus can be placed almost anywhere. A pipe clamp and screws for the attachment at poles (pipe diameter of about 25-33 mm) as well as a stand are already included!The 5-in-1 outdoor sensor transfers reliably all measured values for wind speed, wind direction, humidity, temperature and precipitation rate to the base station. On the clearly structured display of the base station not only these values can be read but also a multitude of history data. The latter allows the internal storage and evaluation of measured data over a period of 24 hours. From the collected measured data, the weather station calculates a very reliable local weather trend forecast for the next 12 hours, depicted by six graphic symbols on the display. For minimum and maximum values an individual alarm can be programmed, which gives an acoustic and a light signal when the defined value is reached. For outside temperatures of -3 °C and below a special alarm for frost/ice warning can additionally be activated.A poor indoor climate often involves health risks especially for children and the elderly. The BRESSER Weather Station 5-in-1 offers you a smart feature to deal with this. The indoor climate indicator informs steadily about the indoor climate with a symbol.Furthermore the BRESSER Weather Station 5-in-1 features a radio controlled time and date setting (DCF time signal). Already a few minutes after switching the device on the current Central European Time (CET) and the date with weekday are displayed automatically. For the “moonstruckers” also the different phases of the moon are shown. Quick startup with the WSLink app
The WSLink app simplifies the configuration of your Wi-Fi weather centre so that you can access your local weather measurements as quickly as possible. With the app, you can configure the Wi-Fi connection, time server and weather data calibration for your weather station in a few simple steps. If you want to share your weather measurements online and access them remotely, the weather station can be connected to compatible weather platforms. The popular portals Weather Underground and Weathercloud can be added directly from the WSLink app. An additional provider – such as the German-language portal AWEKAS – can also be added.
Wi-Fi weather station – feature-packed base station for monitoring the weather
In addition to displaying the measurements from the outdoor sensor, the base station also features a number of other useful functions for keeping track of the weather. These include a weather forecast and the feels-like temperature, which will point you to the right side of your wardrobe. And if you want to know how strong the wind is blowing, you will find data on gusts, average wind speed and the current wind speed on the Beaufort scale. The base station also displays the current air pressure, as well as a trend indicator that can be used to draw conclusions about the latest meteorological developments.
Indoor climate and more – your everyday assistant
The indoor temperature and humidity are also important for our wellbeing. The weather station comes with a built-in hygro-thermo sensor and a trend indicator that alerts you to changes in your indoor climate. Not sure when to open the window? The high/low alarm for indoor/outdoor temperature and humidity can help you to prevent mildew and excessively dry air. The weather station can also alert you when it detects high wind speeds, heavy rainfall and steep drops in air pressure. If you’re passionate about meteorology, you’re probably keen to keep up to date with the latest weather trends. The maximum/minimum memory will help you to do just that.
Keep track of the time: the weather station also displays the time, date, day of the week and moon phase. And thanks to the built-in alarm with a snooze function, you won’t need to worry about waking up late.
