Product information "BRESSER Science Infinity Microscope"
The New BRESSER Science Infinity is the new top of the range of the biology microscope series by BRESSER. It is based on infinitely corrected planachromatic objective lenses with superb image quality. Because of the modern design and optics the installation of accessories is very simple and one has many options. The WF 10x eyepieces offer a large visual field of 22mm and are also suitable for spectacle wearers. For protection purposes the eyepieces are rubber coated. The interpupillary distance can be adjusted from ca. 55mm to 75mm. Dioptre adjustments are possible with both eyepieces.
The bright and durable LED illumination is dimmable and also very practical for darkfield microscopy*.
The Full Köhler illumination is adjustable with the built-in luminous-field diaphragm and the vertically and horizontally adjustable Abbe condenser (numerical aperture 1.25, with iris diaphragm). An imprint of the different possible magnifications on the condenser makes the adjustment of the iris diaphragm very fast and precise.
Coaxial pinions drive the stage and focus which enables ergonomic operation of the microscope.

Slides and cover glasses are an indispensable accessory which has also impact on the image quality. For most biological microscopes, the cover glass thickness is an important optical parameter, which is therefore included in the optical design and, if so, printed on the sleeve of every objective. You can usually see the number 0.17 which is the thickness in millimeters. For demanding applications in the laboratory, or for microphotography, using cover glasses with the desired thickness and high quality is necessary.The cover glasses included in the set are made of Boro 3.3 glass and are standardized to a thickness of 0.16-0.19mm. So they match the desired 0.17mm really good and give the best possible image quality. These Boro 3.3 cover glasses are pure white, without streaks and are pre-cleaned and ready to use. They are also especially suitable for fluorescence microscopy.The slides are made of soda lime glass, and have ground edges for safe handling. They have a matte field for writing on both sides (top and bottom). Slides and cover glasses are packed separately and in a vacuum sealed bag, containing moisture absorbent. They can be stored for a long time without loss of quality from hydrolysis and are easy to take out.

The autofocus enables the user to focus without using the mechanical focus wheel. When changing the objective, the focus will automatically be adjusted from the camera. The focus range from the "zero" position (which is the standard backfocus for C-Mount) up to 5,4 mm intrafocal to reach CS-Mount distance, and 10,6 mm extrafocal, to cover a wide range.
In addition to the autofocus functionality, you can set the focus with the mouse or set a user defined focus range.
The camera can be controlled with the included USB mouse directly through the on screen display. The on screen functionality now includes a measuring function as well, so the MikroCam Pro HDMI Autofocus upgrades your existing trinokular microscope to a fully equipped digital autofocus microscope.

BRESSER MikroCam II 20 MP 1'' Microscope Camera

The BRESSER MikroCam II 20 MP 1’’ microscope camera is the professional solution when it comes to microscope imaging.
This camera has a big 1’’ sensor (image area 13.06 x 8.8 mm); this is the biggest sensor of the MikroCam camera range. With this camera it is possible to document roughly the same field of view as it can be seen through the eyepiece (e.g. when using a 10x / 22mm). Other models will cover only 50% or less of the eyepiece field of view.
The Sony IMX183 CMOS-sensor is very sensitive and has extremely low image noise, which makes this camera especially suitable for contrast methods like dark field or phase contrast.
The MikroCam Lab II software comes with a wide range of professional functions, e.g. measurements in live view (calibration slide needed), mosaic, Focus-Stacking (for improved depth of field). All automatic functions (exposure time, gain, white balance etc) can be adjusted manually as well.
Due to the big sensor size the camera will not work with all microscope models. It might be possible that the optics will not illuminate the full sensor, so you experience vignetting. Usually this can be resolved by using the optional 1x optical adapter (item no. 5914001).
Please note that this camera model is not suitable for the stereo microscope BRESSER Science ETD-201. It will cover only a small field of view.

The BRESSER dark field condenser dry (Infitiy/TFM) directs the light to the side of the specimen. It increases the contrast of the specimen considerably, especially with highly transparent specimens.
This type of illumination makes the observed object appear bright, against an almost black background. In this way, structures can be detected that are hardly visible in the bright field. The dark field condenser dry (Infitiy/TFM) is suitable for lenses that do not require oil immersion.

The camera uses a global shutter, which captures moving objects without distortion. The big image sensor (14.13 x 7.45mm) captures a big field of view. The high light sensitivity of the Sony® IMX305 CMOS-sensor produces excellent images even when using darkfield or phase contrast.The BRESSER MikroCamLabII software includes a variety of useful functions, e.g. measuring in live mode (optional calibration slide needed), mosaic/stitching, focus stacking (for extended depth of field). All camera parameters (exposure time, gain, white balance) can be set manually.Mosaic and focus stacking can be done in live mode, which gives instant results even for unexperienced users. The camera is well suited for presentations, lectures etc. because upon startup it is working directly in auto mode with no user input. The camera does not have a start button, it is working directly after power up. Menus and mouse icon are not visible if the mouse is not connected.

The Full HD display is the ideal addition to the BRESSER MikroCam Pro HDMI and MINI HDMI.The display can be mounted directly on the camera using an adjustable bracket. It provides brilliant images without artefacts, as the display has the same resolution as the output image of the camera. With the MikroCam and HDMI display set, almost any trinocular microscope with a camera connection can be upgraded to a digital microscope. This means that observations can be made independently of a PC.
The size of the display has been optimised so that the microscope user can microscope as usual and view the image on the monitor at the same time. The display provides optimum image quality with a large viewing angle of 178°! This means that several people can view the image without any loss of quality.
The image from the microscope camera is always displayed on the HDMI screen without delay and with a high refresh rate of 60 FPS. The quality of the image displayed using an HDMI microscope camera on an HDMI monitor is therefore usually better than when using a USB camera on a laptop or PC. This is particularly advantageous when delicate work is done under microscopic control.
Many users also benefit from the improved ergonomics when the image can be viewed on the HDMI display. Higher magnifications with their high numerical aperture are particularly unpleasant for users with eye problems such as mouches volantes (vitreous opacities). Digital viewing can provide a remedy here.
The display can be operated with the same power supply unit as the camera using the enclosed Y-cable. A suitable, short, angled HDMI cable is also included to avoid cable clutter in the workplace.
Mounting on a MikroCam PRO or MINI is carried out using two screws. Screws and tools are included in the scope of delivery.

The BRESSER MikroCamII 5MP HIS with the light sensitive and low-noise Sony® IMX264 sensor is perfectly suited for low light applications. The camera uses a global shutter, which captures moving objects without distortion.
With sufficient lighting, the camera is also capable of ultra short exposures as low as 1/50.000 second. In this mode, the camera can virtually freeze fast moving objects.
The BRESSER MikroCamLabII software includes a variety of useful functions, e.g. measuring in live mode (optional calibration slide needed), mosaic/stitching, focus stacking (for extended depth of field). All camera parameters (exposure time, gain, white balance) can be set manually.
Mosaic and focus stacking can be done in live mode, which gives instant results even for unexperienced users. The method is also much faster than the normal procedure where a set of images is rendered afterwards. To use the mosaic function in live mode, a crosstable / mechanical desk is highly recommended to move the sample.
The big camera sensor is not compatible with all microscope models. It might lead to vignetting (dark edges). To compensate this, a 1.0x optical adapter (item code 5914001) is recommended.
This camera will not work with the ETD-201 stereo microscope as the microscope will illuminate only a part of the sensor. For this microscope, we recommend the model MikroCamII 12MP item code 5914912.

For most biological microscopes, the cover glass thickness is an important optical parameter, which is therefore included in the optical design and, if so, printed on the sleeve of every objective. You can usually see the number 0.17 which is the thickness in millimeters. For demanding applications in the laboratory, or for microphotography, using cover glasses with the desired thickness and high quality is necessary.The cover glasses included in the set are made of Boro 3.3 glass and are standardized to a thickness of 0.16-0.19mm. The BRESSER MikroCam II 20 MP 1’’ microscope camera is the professional solution when it comes to microscope imaging.
This camera has a big 1’’ sensor (image area 13.06 x 8.8 mm); this is the biggest sensor of the MikroCam camera range. With this camera it is possible to document roughly the same field of view as it can be seen through the eyepiece (e.g. when using a 10x / 22mm). Other models will cover only 50% or less of the eyepiece field of view.
The Sony IMX183 CMOS-sensor is very sensitive and has extremely low image noise, which makes this camera especially suitable for contrast methods like dark field or phase contrast.
The MikroCam Lab II software comes with a wide range of professional functions, e.g. measurements in live view (calibration slide needed), mosaic, Focus-Stacking (for improved depth of field). All automatic functions (exposure time, gain, white balance etc) can be adjusted manually as well.
Due to the big sensor size the camera will not work with all microscope models. It might be possible that the optics will not illuminate the full sensor, so you experience vignetting. Usually this can be resolved by using the optional 1x optical adapter (item no. 5914001).
Please note that this camera model is not suitable for the stereo microscope BRESSER Science ETD-201. It will cover only a small field of view.

In contrast to usual light, polarized light has a preferred vibration plane of the light waves. Polarized light lets be seen anisotropic objects, whose observable properties are depending on the direction, "in a new light": crystals, but also animal hairs, feathers, muscles, nerve fibres and vegetable cell walls, which have a preferred direction of its biomolecules, show structures now, which were hidden in the normal bright field image. Images made by polarized light are often characterized by a fantastic coloring. Polarization microscopes are used particularly in mineralogy, geology, biology and medicine.
In order to change the object's direction in a controlled way, the Science MPO 401 has a round, center-adjustable and full rotatable object stage with degree scale. The illumination and observation unit encloses e. g. the halogen bulb lamp (20 W) with dimmer, the field diaphragm (used to achieve the Köhler illumination), the 360° rotatable polarizer (for the production of polarized light), centering implements for the objectives and the analyzer attachment (for the analysis of the polarized light). The zoom stereo microscope BRESSER Advance ICD is suitable for a wide variety of objects. Because of the Greenough design with two tilted objectives, you can view the sample in 3D. The three-dimensional view is also very helpful when working under the microscope, e.g. when soldering, dissecting or preparing a sample.The precise zoom enables you to view your sample in a wide range of magnifications from 1x to 4x (zoom ratio 4.0). When zooming, only slight refocussing is necessary. To do this, the Advance ICD microscope is equipped with a very precise, coaxial coarse and fine focus. The fine focus is especially helpful when using high magnifications or for imaging. When doing focus stacking with our MikroCam cameras (optional) the fine focus is also a big help.The interpupillary distance of the eyepiece pair is adjustable. The NEXCOPE NE620T microscope is designed for a wide range of applications.
It features a very high contrast, which ensures an outstanding image quality and resolution. This makes it ideal for demanding and professional applications.
LENSES
The panchromatic lenses ensure a flat field of view. The 100x lens is resilient to contact and is designed for a water immersion (NA: 1.10).
The 40x lens has a very high working distance of 1.5 mm, which prevents contact with immersion fluids.
The nosepiece has five positions and is equipped with four lenses (4x, 10x, 40x, 100xW). These feature an M25 thread and a parfocal length of 60 mm.
EYEPIECES
The eyepieces have a 22 mm field of view. This produces a wide-angle image. The high eyepiece head is ideal for spectacle wearers. A rubber edge provides protection upon eye contact. A dioptre compensation of -5 to +5 can be set individually for each eyepiece.
The interpupillary distance can be adjusted between 48 mm and 75 mm.
ILLUMINATION
The condensor with an iris diaphragm is adjustable and provides Köhler illumination together with the light source, which is also equipped with an iris diaphragm.
The powerful 3 W LED has an adjustable brightness and provides the best possible illumination. The brightness can be adjusted individually for each lens. When a lens is changed, the NEXCOPE NE620T automatically adjusts the previous brightness settings. The display shows the currently selected lens and the current brightness.
MECHANICS
The XY stage is moved via a combination of a toothed rack and tooth belt drive. This enables exact positioning for high magnifications.
In addition to the coarse focus, the fine focus helps to render a very sharp image of the object. A full turn of the fine focus moves the table up/down by 0.2 mm. The fine focus can be adjusted with one finger on the right-hand side. The table height limit helps to protect the specimens. The friction of the coarse focus can also be adjusted.
CAMERA CONNECTION
The NEXCOPE NE620T is specially designed for use with c-mount cameras. You can choose from two different adapters, depending on the sensor size:
