Featuring a large mirror with a high focal length, this telescope allows you to observe a wide range of night sky objects. Thanks to the catadioptric system (integrated Barlow lens), the tube has a short design-despite the high focal length-making the telescope highly portable. The BRESSER Spica Plus also comes with high-performance mechanics, including a premium equatorial mount that allows you to set up the telescope in no time. A focuser is attached to the side of the tube, as is standard on a Newtonian reflector telescope. It comes with two eyepieces for observing at different magnifications. Explore the planets of our solar system and discover new worlds. And if you'd like to capture your observations to share with others, you can take photos through the telescope using the supplied smartphone camera adapter.
Please note that Newtonian reflecting telescopes are ideal for astronomical observations, but are not suitable for observing wildlife and landscapes. For observing wildlife and landscapes, we recommend BRESSER refracting telescopes.

Adjusting your eyes to the dark surroundings is very important when making astronomical observations.
In dark areas, it is very difficult to use astronomical equipment without a suitable light.
With normal lights, however, the light intensity is more important than protecting your eyes against bright light.
Using these lights at night makes your pupils contract, which can make it difficult for your eyes to readjust to the darkness.
The SG-L01, our first astronomy LED lamp, featured a built-in red LED that provided a solution to this problem.
However, the red light did not offer optimal visibility. On our new astronomy LED light, the SG-L02, the LED lights produce warm light to improve visibility.
They also ensure that your eyes stay adapted to the dark.
The LEDs do not emit light in the sensitive range of 555 nm.
The brightness of the white light can be adjusted between 3 and 42 lumen, while the red light can be adjusted between 0.28 and 7.62 lumen.

With the usage of barlow lenses, you can extend the equivalent focal length of telescopes and hence increase the magnification of your observed targets. Subsequently, you can use lower power eyepieces in Barlows to act as much more powerful eyepieces, but retain the larger ocular size and more comfortable viewing that comes with lower power eyepiece designs.Due to their two lens design, these Barlow lenses provide a brilliant image quality for the whole visual field and are suitable for observations and photography. The black coloured Barlow element cell in this BRESSER Barlow Lens 2x 31.8mm/1.25," can be unscrewed and has the same thread as 1.25" filters, allowing it to be mounted in 1.25" eyepieces, t-adapters and other accessories, giving you flexibility of use and the ability to vary magnification in different accessories. With the ultra-compact BRESSER solar charger, you simply use the power of the sun to charge your devices. The environmentally friendly solar energy is free of charge – and you remain independent of the power grid!
Simply open it up, put it down and immediately produce green solar powerThe handling is very simple: unfold the solar panel and align it as perpendicularly as possible to the sun. Then connect the device to be charged to the solar charger, either with a suitable USB cable (not included) or with the included DC connection cable. The charging process begins immediately.
Which devices can the solar panel charge?
The solar charger gets all devices with a USB power supply connection or the above-mentioned DC power plug connection up and running again in no time – e.g. smartphones, tablets, power banks, portable playstations, MP4 players, GPS devices and Bluetooth headphones. It is also suitable for charging large power stations such as the BRESSER Power Station 100 Watt (art. no.3810000) and the BRESSER Power Station 500 Watt (art. no. 3810020) as well as power stations from other manufacturers with suitable connection values.Universal charger with flexible connection options Two black USB A sockets for normal charging and another orange USB A socket with QC3.0 standard for fast charging of newer generations of devices are available for powering your devices.

How long does it take to charge a battery?Most modern devices
with built-in batteries indicate the current charging status of the
battery on a display or status LEDs. The charging process is also
automatically terminated by the internal charger of the smartphone or
tablet, etc., as soon as the battery is full.Nevertheless, it is helpful to know how long a full charge theoretically takes with an empty battery. This is the only way to choose the right solar panel model for the requirements of the devices you want to charge.Here is a short calculation: Divide the
capacity of the battery (mAh) by the charging current of the charger
(mA) and multiply this by a factor of 75. This then gives you the
approximate charging time in minutes that is required to fully charge the battery at 100% sunshine duration.Example 1: A battery with a
capacity of 3000mAh (3.0 Ah) and a charging current via 5 volt USB
connection of 3400mA (3.4 amps). So 3000 : 3400 x 75 = 66 minutes.
Dividing the result by 60
gives the charging time in hours: 1.1 hours.This means that an average smartphone can be fully charged in just about 1.1 hours with a 90-watt solar panel. Example 2:
A large power station battery with a
capacity of 13000mAh (13.0 Ah) and a charging current via 18 volts DC
plug connection of 5000mA (5.0 amps). So 13000 : 5000 x 75 = 195
minutes.
Dividing the result by 60

Please note that reflecting telescopes of the "Newton" type always produce images both laterally reversed and upside down. This does not matter for astronomical observations, which is why these telescopes are very well suited for these purposes. For nature and landscape observations during the day, however, this characteristic is disruptive. Therefore, we recommend the BRESSER refracting telescopes for this application.

When observing at night, the LED viewfinder helps you find your way around: just install it parallel on the telescope, adjust it and use it to align and locate celestial objects. When you look through it, the red dot projected onto a ground-glass screen inside appears to hover in front of the sky. It shows you the spot to which the tube is pointing. This allows you to navigate easily before taking a closer look with the telescope's high magnification.
Different perspectives of your astronomical discoveries are made possible by the two eyepieces, which enable different magnifications. With their sockets, which have a standard diameter of 1.25 inch (31.7 mm), they are simply inserted into the telescope's focuser.
You want to see even more details? Then triple the magnification of the eyepieces with the 3x barlow lens.

Simply an astro-classic – the telescope
With this classic lens telescope – a so-called Fraunhofer achromatic refractor – even beginners and children can easily gain new insights into the night sky. Thanks to the modern, precisely coated optics, the starter telescope offers good imaging properties. A sharp image with good contrast – this is ensured by the large focal ratio of about 1 to 11.7 (F/11.7), which results from the ratio of the 60 mm aperture to the 700 mm focal length. Perfect for exploring our Moon, the planets, but also open star clusters and globular clusters.
And what about the magnification? The 60 mm aperture provides a resolving power that easily allows magnifications up to about 120x with really sharp images. Technically, even more is possible with this beginner’s telescope – up to 175x with the included accessories. However, as the magnification increases, the image can become more and more blurred. How much magnification is actually possible depends not only on the telescope, but also on the air turbulence in the atmosphere (seeing conditions).
The foundation for moving impressions – mount and tripod
For your nighttime observations, attach your telescope to the height-adjustable aluminium tripod with azimuthal mount. Thanks to its extremely easy operation, you can enjoy effortless astronomical explorations with this azimuthal mount. Just like with a normal photo tripod, you simply turn the starter telescope by hand up and down, to the left and right. To ensure that your eyepieces, compass, star map etc. are always within reach, simply place your accessories on the practical storage plate located between the tripod legs.

The 5x24 finder is a small miniature telescope that you simply mount parallel to the actual telescope. With its weak 5x magnification and integrated crosshair, it helps you keep track of the starry sky. And how high the magnification is depends on which of the three included eyepieces (4 mm; 12.5 mm; 20 mm) you are currently using. To change the magnification, simply insert another one into the telescope's focuser. If at some point you want to change your field of view with additional eyepieces: no problem! The 1.25 inch (31.7 mm) socket diameter complies with an international and cross-manufacturer standard, so you can combine a wide range of optional eyepieces with your telescope.
For a comfortable view at any time, you will also find a 90-degree diagonal mirror in the scope of delivery. Otherwise, you would have to lie down under the starter telescope in order to achieve good observation results when the optics are pointed upwards into the sky. Instead, you simply look in comfortably from the side.

A sharp image with good contrast – the Venus reflector telescope achieves this with its large focal ratio of about 1 to 9.2 (F/9.2 – calculated from 76 mm aperture and 700 mm focal length). And all this at a magnification of up to 150x in really sharp images! Technically, you can magnify even higher – theoretically up to 525x while using the included accessories. Note for nature lovers:
If you choose a Newtonian telescope like the Venus reflector telescope, you can look forward to a specialist in astronomical observation. However, the image is always displayed laterally reversed as well as upside down, which makes no difference when observing the sky.
