FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
The symbol flashes when the air pressure drops sharply within a short period of time. This indicates that a storm or strong winds are very likely approaching. As soon as the air pressure stabilizes, the flashing will stop automatically – it therefore serves as a storm warning.
Please proceed as follows:
Tips:
- Remove all batteries from the base station and the outdoor sensor.
- Wait at least 3–10 minutes.
- Insert the batteries into the base station.
- Once the indoor temperature is displayed, insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor.
The signal should now be detected and the outdoor temperature displayed.
Tips:
- If problems occur, replace all batteries with fresh, non-rechargeable brand batteries. Different battery types or charge levels may cause interference.
- Do not place the base station near other electronic devices (this may interfere with reception).
- If necessary, choose a different location for the base station.
If pressing the “DCF” button on the back does not help, reset the station:
- Briefly press the reset button on the back with a pen
- If necessary, place the station closer to a window, as reception inside buildings may be limited

Practical features and useful weather data
Featuring an outdoor sensor, the weather station offers numerous features to keep you meteorologically informed throughout the day. For example, the graphic weather forecast will show you what kind of weather you can expect over the next 12 hours. Meanwhile, the perceived ('feels like') temperature factors in the impact of wind and humidity on the outdoor temperature, and helps you to choose the right clothes. In addition to the dew point, wind chill and heat index, the weather station also shows you the wind speed using the Beaufort index so that you always know how strong the wind is blowing.
However, it's not just the outdoor conditions that are important. The weather station also features a graphic indoor climate indicator, which uses a smiley to show you whether the indoor temperature and humidity are at an optimal level. If your struggle with mildew or dry air, you can set a maximum and minimum value alarm that informs you when the preset limits have been reached. This alarm can also be set for the other measured values. If you're a keen meteorologist or gardener and want to follow recent trends in weather, the weather station also features a historical bar chart for precipitation and air pressure, as well as a min/max value memory.
Radio-controlled clock with built-in alarm
In addition to extensive meteorological data, the weather station also features a radio-controlled clock that sets the time automatically. After it has been connected to the power supply, the base station automatically searches for the corresponding radio signal. A few minutes later, the time, date and day of the week will appear on the display, together with the current moon phase. (PLEASE SET HOUR OFFSET TO -1 IN THE TIME SETTING MENU IF IN THE UK, IRELAND OR PORTUGAL TO RECEIVE THE CORRECT TIME FOR THESE AREAS).
The weather station is ideal for bedrooms: the built-in light sensor automatically adjusts the display brightness to the surroundings so that your sleep is not disturbed. There is also a built-in alarm clock with a snooze function. During the winter, the ice/forst alarm activates the alarm 30 minutes earlier when the temperature is below -3 °C. The battery-powered outdoor sensor (batteries not included) with 30 m transmission range transmits precise weather data such as temperature, humidity, moon phases and air pressure to the base station. On the display of the base station with LED backlight, these precise measured values are clearly structured.
