FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
The symbol flashes when the air pressure drops sharply within a short period of time. This indicates that a storm or strong winds are very likely approaching. As soon as the air pressure stabilizes, the flashing will stop automatically – it therefore serves as a storm warning.
Please proceed as follows:
Tips:
- Remove all batteries from the base station and the outdoor sensor.
- Wait at least 3–10 minutes.
- Insert the batteries into the base station.
- Once the indoor temperature is displayed, insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor.
The signal should now be detected and the outdoor temperature displayed.
Tips:
- If problems occur, replace all batteries with fresh, non-rechargeable brand batteries. Different battery types or charge levels may cause interference.
- Do not place the base station near other electronic devices (this may interfere with reception).
- If necessary, choose a different location for the base station.
If pressing the “DCF” button on the back does not help, reset the station:
- Briefly press the reset button on the back with a pen
- If necessary, place the station closer to a window, as reception inside buildings may be limited

The BRESSER CO2 air quality monitor Smile will show you when it's time to let some fresh air into your home or office. Simply have a quick look at the intuitive LCD display to keep an eye on the CO2 concentration, temperature and humidity. You don't need to worry about remembering what constitutes a critical carbon dioxide level - the intuitive graphical display with a linear scale and smiley face will show you the quality of the air in your surroundings. The measurements are precise, with high resolution and fast. Ventilation alarmThe practical carbon dioxide alarm reminds you when you need to let in some fresh air. If the default setting is different to your ideal indoor climate, you can configure your own limit up to a maximum of 5000 ppm. The alarm function can then be activated with a simple button press. If the preset limit is exceeded, the alarm will sound at a varying intensity depending on the CO2 concentration. The display will also show a flashing arrow symbol to remind you to open the windows. Humidity is also an important factor, as high humidity levels can cause mould to form. You can also set your own visual alarm for this reading so that you will know whether the air in the room is too dry or too moist. If you want to see more than just the current readings, there is also a practical memory function that displays the maximum and minimum values for the last 24 hours as well as the average values from the last 15 minutes and 8 hours for carbon dioxide concentration, temperature and humidity. Eco-friendly weather station with solar-powered sensor, ideal for amateur meteorologists
The weather station comes with a solar-powered outdoor sensor, which is powered by solar energy and measures temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, precipitation, UV level and light intensity. Simply align the large solar panel with the sun according to your location. The measuring device needs about 4 hours of direct sunlight (100,000 lux) a day. There isn’t much sun around? Simply insert 3 AA batteries (not included) as a back-up during installation, and they will take care of the power supply. All the measurements will appear on the screen of the base station, which can be located up to 150 metres away.
Wi-Fi weather station with feature-packed base station
The base station of the 6-day 4CAST PRO SF weather station features a stylish design and displays the data received from the solar-powered sensor. It also takes its own readings via the built-in thermo/hygro sensor, which measures the ambient indoor temperature, humidity and air pressure. Together with the maximum/minimum memory, this enables you to keep an eye on the indoor climate and effectively prevent mildew and excessively dry air. Outdoor temperature, precipitation and more – you can also view the maximum/minimum readings for the other measurements made by the solar-powered sensor.
Share weather data and use it with your smart home
Access the measurements from your solar-powered sensor remotely and share them with others: with a few clicks, you can send your weather station data to the ProWeatherLive platform.
