Product information "EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC 2" H-Beta Nebula Filter"
One of the most important obstacles for the exploration of the night sky is the brightening of the night sky by artificial lights, such as streetlights. The night sky is not really dark in the vicinity of towns or cities, which reduces the visibility of objects bejond the solar systems enourmously. Depending on the type of the celestial object it is possible to increase the contrast dramatically by blocking the annoying artifical light. The Explore Scientific H-beta filter uses a characteristic property of the so called emmission nebulae. Those objekcts glow in special colors, the so called emmission lines. Those emmission lines are linked to chemical elements - in this case hydrogen. The Explore Scientific H-beta nebula filter blocks all other colors (and thereby nearly all of the artificial light) and only the emmission line of the hydrogen can pass the filter. The result is astonoishing: suddenly nebulae are visible at locations that were completely empty without filters. In suburbian skies for example the horsehead nebula is almost not visible with a 300mm telescope. By using this filter you can see the nebula and its structures without problems. A must for every visual observer.

General safety instructions DANGER Risk of eye injuries! Never look directly at the sun or near the sun through this device. There is a risk of blindness! Children should only use the device under supervision. Keep packaging materials (plastic bags, rubber bands, etc.) away from children! There is a risk of suffocation! FIRE HAZARD! Do not expose the device – especially the lenses – to direct sunlight! The light concentration could cause fires. RISK of material damage! Do not dismantle the device! In case of a defect, please contact your dealer. They will contact the service center and may send the device in for repair. Do not expose the device to temperatures above 60°C!
Never look at the sun through an eyepiece/telescope without a certified protection filter. A moon filter can never be used for solar observation. The moon filter is only suitable for moon observation. The solar filter must be mounted in front of the telescope opening, not at the eyepiece. Otherwise, the concentrated light beam through the optics will immediately destroy the filter foil, leading to severe eye damage, including permanent blindness.
Never leave the optics unattended. Children and inexperienced adults could point the telescope at the sun without proper precautions and lose their eyesight.
This one really supports the detection of the dark areas on the planet Mars. The details of the clouds of Saturn and Jupiter are also so much more visible through the Filter. What ist a color Filter for and do we really need it ?
Color Filters darken the light slightly, that reaches the eye or the sensor of the camera. This eliminates for instance stronger transitions. The result is that your picture turns out with more contrast which automatically shows more details.FEATURESMade from high-quality optical glassFilter glass is absolutely parallel All optical surfaces have anti reflex coatingsFilter housing from black anodized aluminumFilter threads on both ends (female/male)Multiple filters usage is possibleSCOPE OF DELIVERYColor filterProtection-case

Enables you to connect a camera to telescopes that accept 2" barrel eyepieces. You will need a T2-ring for your special camera type also. The very special feature of this adaptor is the very short mechanical design (2.0mm) which enables the camera use also on telescopes with a short focal range. This adapter is also prepared to use with 2" filters.
One of the most important obstacles for the exploration of the night sky is the brightening of the night sky by artificial lighting, such as street lights. The night sky is not really dark in the vicinity of towns or cities, which reduces the visibility of objects beyond the solar system enormously. Depending on the type of celestial object, it is possible to increase the contrast dramatically by blocking the interfering artificial light.
The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC O-III filteruses a characteristic property of the so-called emission nebulae. Those objects glow in special colours, the so-called emission lines. Those emission lines are linked to chemical elements - in this case, oxygen. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC O-III nebula filterblocks all other colours (and thereby nearly all the artificial light) and only the two emission lines of the oxygen can pass the filter. The result is astonishing: suddenly, nebulae are visible in locations that were completely empty without using filters. In suburban skies, for example, the veil nebula NGC 6992 is almost invisible with a 200 mm telescope. By using this filter, you can see the nebula and its structures without any difficulties. A must for every visual observer and for astrophotography.

Vixen has developed a new generation of SX mounts with Wifi for demanding observers and astrophotographers.
The SXP2WL mount is easily operated via a Wifi module using a smartphone or tablet. For user-friendly control of the mount, the free STAR BOOK Wireless app is available. This allows you to use practical celestial navigation functions such as automatic GoTo slewing to certain celestial objects easily via your smartphone or tablet. Since the power consumption of the traditional LCD screen (STAR BOOK TEN) is eliminated, the power consumption of the mount is reduced by up to 20%. This enables astronomical observations and astrophotography over longer periods.By selecting the desired celestial object from a list, it will automatically slew into the telescope's field of view and tracking begins. A previously existing STAR BOOK TEN controller can also be used with this mount without any issues. Equipped with the same precision stepper motors as the top model, the AXD mount, the SXP2WL sets a new standard in performance and precision in the Vixen mount family. The axis cross of the SXP2 mount has a photographic payload of 17 kg and weighs just 13.3 kg, making it ideal for mobile observations. Additionally, the motors located in the lower part of the mount serve as counterweights. As a result, the mount requires fewer weights for balancing. On the SXP2 mount, larger ball bearings are used than in previous models to increase accuracy and payload capacity. The mount housing also features a greater material thickness. To make the polar block even more stable, the axis cross is firmly clamped into a fork.
The SXP2 mount in detail
Stronger mount housingOn the SXP2 mount, larger ball bearings are used than in previous models to increase accuracy and payload capacity. The mount housing also features greater material thickness. To make the polar block even more stable, the axis cross is firmly clamped into a fork.
Very precise tracking with P-PEC functionThe SXP2 mount is delivered with the modern STAR BOOK TEN controller. It offers you the P-PEC function for particularly precise tracking. The term 'PEC' stands for 'Periodic Error Correction.' The system corrects mechanical errors that cause periodic errors in the gear systems. The SXP2 equatorial mount provides a P-PEC function derived from the PEC function. The P-PEC function saves your correction records even after the mount's power is turned off. This means you don’t have to re-enter the data each time, allowing for faster operation and more accurate tracking.
Quiet belt drive system with minimal play In conventional motor drive systems of equatorial mounts, gears are used, which are driven by the motor. However, this design has the disadvantage that a certain amount of play occurs between the gears. To avoid the inaccuracies caused by this, the SXP2 mount uses a belt drive system. This significantly reduces both gear play and drive noise. In addition, the device responds more quickly when corrections need to be made.
16 bearings The mechanical parts of the SXP2 mount contain a total of 16 bearings. A set of tapered roller bearings is used for the RA axis to provide more stability for more precise tracking.
Stable altitude block for alignment The SXP2 mount uses the same fork as the heavier AXJ mount. This new construction enables quick and stable latitude adjustment.
Simple and precise polar alignment via reference stars The 6x20 polar finder is already pre-installed. This allows you to adjust the polar alignment (for both the northern and southern hemispheres). The polar finder offers a variable illuminated reticle with an automatic shut-off function. The brightness can be adjusted in 8 steps, allowing you to tailor it to your individual needs. Additionally, the polar finder is equipped with direct alignment using three reference stars and can achieve an accuracy of up to 3 arc minutes.
Variable mount head The mount head has a diameter of 35 mm and eight threaded holes for M8 screws, arranged at 45-degree intervals. An optional accessory plate can be attached directly or in combination with an optional mounting block for dovetail plates. Additionally, the threaded holes on the mount head allow the use of mounting rails from other manufacturers. ATTENTION: For mounting Vixen standard dovetail rails, the X000266 adapter is also required.
Combination of innovative, elegant design and user-friendly operation The stable, rigid mount body with very precise tracking has been further optimised by the P-PEC function. This makes the SXP2 a highly precise and easy-to-use mount that will delight every astrophotographer and observer.
Special motor placement for fewer counterweights The heavy RA and DEC motor units are housed in the lower part of the declination, so the centre of gravity of the axis cross lies beneath the RA and DEC axes. As a result, the declination body acts as a counterweight. The flat mount head also allows the mount to be balanced with significantly fewer counterweights.
Retractable counterweight bar The counterweight bar is made of solid stainless steel and has a diameter of 20 mm. It can be used with all counterweights from the SX and GP mount series. The counterweight bar is housed in the declination body.
Accessory shoe For simple and quick polar alignment, the #35511 Polar Meter can be slid onto this shoe.
Latitude adjustment The latitude can be adjusted between 0 and 70 degrees (divided into 3 zones and adjustable +/- 15 degrees per zone, for high, medium, and low latitudes). The Vixen Wifi adapter in detail
The Vixen Wifi adapter for EQ mounts allows you to control your Vixen mount via a smartphone or tablet. With the free STAR BOOK Wireless smartphone app, you can navigate the sky without any cables. The app transforms your mobile device into a controller for the equatorial mount in no time. The response delay of the mount, often considered the greatest disadvantage of wireless connections, has been reduced to a level comparable with wired solutions. Reduced power consumption compared to conventional controllers with LCD monitors The power consumption of the mount is reduced by up to 20%, allowing for longer observations compared to traditional wired controllers such as the STAR BOOK TEN. Operation similar to the STAR BOOK TEN controller The STAR BOOK Wireless app is structured similarly to the STAR BOOK TEN controller. Depending on the star chart settings, it contains up to 259,000 celestial objects. Simply tap on a celestial object from the object list to start GoTo. The mount will automatically move to the target and place it in the telescope's field of view. All the popular features of the STAR BOOK TEN remain available to you. Comfortable operation While looking through the telescope, you can control the mount by swiping on the star map in the app. Since there are no buttons, you simply glide your finger over the star map to comfortably operate the mount. Extensive astronomical data included This includes data for well-observed celestial bodies such as Messier objects, NGC objects, IC objects, as well as the Sun, Moon, planets, comets, and dwarf planets. High-precision alignment By aligning with one or two stars, you already achieve quite accurate positioning of the mount. Aligning with three or more stars allows for high-precision alignment of the mount, suitable for high magnifications. The objects will then be approached exactly and centered in the telescope's field of view. The alignment information is saved and can be retained even when the device is turned off. By leaving the telescope in its current state after an observation, without moving it, you can start the next observation with the same settings through automatic installation.
Custom settings The app offers various custom settings, as in the STAR BOOK TEN controller, such as gear backlash compensation, night mode in red, autoguider, and variable GoTo speed and LED brightness. You can also set the time for the reversal of the telescope tube (Meridian Flip) as desired. Even if the object moves south during tracking, you can prevent the telescope tube from flipping over.Important information Not usable with old SX mounts that use the old blue Star Book. Technical information about the Wifi module 32-bit CISC processor with 120 MHz The unit is connected to the mount via a D-SUB 9-pin connector, as with the STAR BOOK TEN. It features a 6-pin, 6-wire modular plug for external autoguider operation. NEW – now including a high-quality aperture Solar-filter for safe observation of sunspots, eclipses and planet transits. Great telescope for night and solar observation. In the past few years the Bresser Newton telescopes have become the standard workhorse for Deep Sky astrophotography. We now proudly present the second generation of this telescope, the Bresser NT-203s/800 with Hexafoc and a fast parabolic main mirror. The Bresser NT-203s/800 f3.9 will deliver you deeper images due to its - compared to 8" f/5 systems - oversized primary mirror and therefore faster optical system with the same exposure time. The big 85 mm secondary prevents vignetting for optimal illumination The excellent 2.5" Hexafoc focuser also does not cause vignetting due to its large diameter and makes focussing a joy - the smoothness and shifting-free operation sets new standards in this price class. This groundbreaking focuser, tube rings with 44mm universal standard dovetail and camera mounting feature and a high-end finderscope with haircross and laser-engraved scale leave nothing to desire even for demanding astrophotographers. The NT-203s/800 Hexafoc has a classical tube construction with an aluminium tube. The focuser can be upgraded with a 10:1 reduction (part No. 0625720) without problems. Ready to use with the HR Coma Corrector (part No. 0510330) which eliminates coma, field-curvature and astigmatism. Please note: Reflector telescopes with optical design Newton are very good for astronomical observing at the starry night sky. But these telescopes are not well usable for observing landscape and nature during daylight. Therefore we suggest BRESSER refractor (lens) telescopes for landscape and nature observing.CHARCTERISTICS

Apart from air turbulence, the brightening of the night sky is the greatest
barrier to observing faint objects beyond the solar system. Due to
streetlamps and other artificial lighting, the sky in urban areas is no
longer properly black. As a result, the contrast and thus the
perception of deep-sky objects also suffer. However, depending on the
type of celestial object, it is possible to filter out some of the interfering light making it easier to photograph the objects. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC H-Alpha filter uses the characteristic of the so-called emission nebulae.
These objects glow in certain colors, the so-called emission lines. The
emission lines are associated with certain chemical elements - in this
case the red glowing hydrogen. This filter blocks all other colors (and therefore almost all artificial light) and lets only the emission lines of hydrogen through. Especially the interfering light of mercury and sodium vapor lamps is effectively blocked. The effect is amazing: suddenly, nebulae become visible on photos in locations which appear completely empty without the filter. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC H-Alpha Nebula filter has been developed exclusively for astrophotography. Especially in slightly light-polluted skies many emission nebulae only become visible and are shown in full expanse on astrophotos when using this filter. The H-Alpha nebula filters make astrophotography near the city possible and the use leads to amazingly good image results despite the existing light pollution. A must for every urban astrophotographer. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC nebula filters are delivered with an individual test report - so you can be sure to get high quality filters.FEATURESH-Alpha filters are used for astrophotography exclusivelyAllows photography of emission nebulae that glow in the light of red hydrogenMany of these emission nebulae are only visible in their full expansion in the photos taken with this filterBlocks almost all artificial light, especially from mercury and sodium vapor lampsOnly allows the emission line of red hydrogen to pass throughTransmission bandwidth: 12 nmAllows more contrast and detail for all urban astrophotographersIdeal for use near cities, in slightly brightened skiesIndividual test certificate included to guarantee you receive a premium filterSCOPE OF DELIVERY1x 2'' H-Alpha Nebula Filter

The neutral density filter transmits light uniformly across the entire
visual spectrum. It serves as an excellent filter to reduce glare and
irradiation when observing the Moon with any telescope 4"(10.2cm) and
larger. The ND96 filter may also be employed in the splitting of close
double stars where one of the binary pair significantly exceeds the
other in brightness.

L-eXtreme Filter for deep sky nebula photography from the city The relentless spread or urbanization and its associated light pollution have become a growing problem for all amateur astro photographers. The current solutions to the problem can be expensive and might include the purchase of a monochrome camera, several types of narrowband filters and a filter wheel. Especially with inexpensive but fast newtonian telescopes, double-lens ED refractors or even achromats, the L-eXtreme filters open up completely new possibilities for high-class astronomical images even from the light polluted city. CMOS cameras can deliver images like monochrome cameras. This new generation of filters makes it possible to take amazing astrophotos directly from the heavily light-polluted city with all its artificial light sources. The dual narrow bandpass for the wavelengths of O-III and H-Alpha and the almost complete attenuation of the interfering light sources of these new filters make this an ideal solution.
L-eXtreme Description L-eXtreme is a two 7nm narrow bandpass filter which can be used with one-shot color cameras like DSLRs (digital SLR), color CMOS and monochrome CCD cameras. The convenience and cost-effectiveness of this filter allows amateurs to photograph rich emission nebulas, even in bright, heavily light-polluted skies. The L-eXtreme filter is the better choice for fast optical systems at a competitive price. It isolates the H-Alpha and Oxygen III nebula emission lines so that the contrast and signal-to-noise ratio between nebulae are maximized. The design of our L-eNhance filter is a technical innovation among filters. For people who live in heavily light polluted areas or when the moon is out, the L-eXtreme is a very good choice.
Main Use and Performance This new generation of filters makes it possible to take amazing astrophotos directly from the light-polluted city with all its artificial light sources. The narrow bandpass for the wavelengths of O-III and H-Alpha and the almost complete attenuation of the interfering light sources do not require very large or extremely expensive telescopes. No, especially with inexpensive but fast newtonian telescopes, double-lens ED refractors or even achromats, these filters open up completely new possibilities for high-class astronomical images. Furthermore, with these filters CMOS colour cameras can deliver an image quality that comes close to CCD monochrome cameras. WARNING: These nebula filters are not designed for sun observation. DO NOT LOOK AT THE SUN WITH THIS FILTER. You will go BLIND if you ignore this warning. Coating technology L-eXtreme has a multiple
anti-reflective coating on the optical substrate. The L-eXtreme filter uses a
precision coating based on ion deposition coating technology. This
ensures durability and scratch resistance as well as stability on the
CWL (central wavelength), which is not affected by temperature changes.
Absolute precision and homogeneity of the coatings as well as maximum
values for transmission in the passband and optical density in the
off-band range are guaranteed for all filters.
