A very good diagonal mirror for telescopes with 2" focuser and for the BRESSER Messier telescopes with a 2.5"- HEX focuser. Enables the use of eyepieces and accessories with 2" barrel, so that a wider field of view can be reached. A larger light beam and a comfortable observation position is achieved by this 2 inch zenith mirror. Especially for use with refractors and for zenith observations a useful accessory.  The clamping ring is made of brass, so there will be no scratch marks on your high-quality eyepiece. The precise clamping is another advantage. The BRESSER 2" Diagonal Mirror is completely made of metal and has a very accurate flat mirror. Star Diagonals provide a user-friendly observing position for refractors and Cassegrain telescopes. The 3" Explore Scientific Diagonal Mirror is precision machined from aluminium and contains carbon fibre parts. The large diameter of 3"(76.2mm) is ideal for modern wide angle eyepieces, such as our 0218430 EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC 100° Ar Eyepiece 30mm 3", which (thanks to the size of this diagonal) can be mounted in suitable instruments, without vignetting occurring. The dielectric coating delivers 99% reflectivity and is very durable against environmental influences. A reducer to 2"(50.8mm) is included. We offer adaptors for a wide variety of focusers. With the introduction of the 68° Series we are pleased to make two important improvements in eyepiece manufacture, the first being 15 layer Enhanced Multi-layer Deposition (EMD™) coatings on all glass-to-air surfaces to gain maximum contrast, and waterproofing the eyepiece with the use of Argon gas purging instead of standard Nitrogen gas. Although Nitrogen is a fine choice that will last for many years, Argon is a larger molecule that maintains its protective properties over a wider range of temperatures, and is even more resistant to diffusion thereby further extending the protective waterproof environment of the eyepiece body. Through computer-optimized design, a careful selection of optical glasses, and enhanced multi-layer deposition coatings, the Explore Scientific 68° Series™ eyepieces produce long eye-relief and ensure high image-correction, a flat field, and high contrast across the entire image field. An excellent choice for those who make extended visual studies of detail with subtle variations of brightness, and for those who must wear glasses while observing. All 68° Series eyepieces are fully EMD (Enhanced Multi-Layer Deposition) coated and edge-blackened to produce superior contrast.

The TELRAD dew cap prevents the projection screen from fogging up in unfavourable weather conditions. With built-in 90° deflecting mirror for easier use in zenith position. The functionality is quite simple. If the TELRAD viewfinder is not used in the meantime, simply flip the dew cap over the viewfinder projection screen. This saves the annoying wiping off of the humidity and the viewfinder is always ready for use. The dew cap is made of impact-resistant plastic and additionally protects the viewfinder projection screen from scratches during transport.
