BRESSER Messier 12" Dobson Telescope
The new BRESSER Messier 12" Dobson enhances this well-liked telescope series while providing great portability due to its lightweight fibreglass telescope tube. Despite its low price, it offers a variety of functions as well as quality that you would not find in considerably more expensive devices. Thanks to the powerful telescope aperture of 305 mm, you get significantly more light-gathering capacity than with the smaller models and are therefore not limited to observing the moon and the planets of our solar system - you can already look far out into the universe and observe globular clusters, nebulae and galaxies with even greater brightness. Details become visible in most deep-sky objects: globular clusters are clearly resolved into individual stars and gas nebulae, which can only be guessed at with smaller devices, show structure. The device is unrivalled in its versatility: The excellent large Hexafoc focuser has an aperture of 65 mm - so there is no noticeable obstruction from the focuser tube even with large wide-field eyepieces. Thanks to the large altitude wheels, even these heavier eyepieces are held effortlessly. And if a particularly large number of accessories is attached, such as a binocular attachment, then the entire tube can be moved inside the tube clamps - and everything is balanced again in a flash. The unrivalled rigidity of the focuser makes focusing easy - so photography with this tube is also possible. This is another strength of this universal telescope: if you want to take photos, you can simply unscrew the altitude wheels from the tube and attach it to an equatorial mount using a dovetail bar - so there's nothing standing in the way of astrophotography. An optional 10:1 gear reduction for the focuser is available for the highest demands. Considering that the focuser is the most frequently used part of the telescope, the use of the Hexafoc in this device is a quantum leap for this price range. With the initial equipment, you can start observing immediately - a 6x30 finder and a 25 mm SPL eyepiece are included in the scope of delivery. Various other viewfinder types can also be retrofitted using the 2 new hybrid viewfinder shoes (Art. 0620158) supplied as standard. In addition, the new 12" BRESSER Messier makes it easy to transport the device as compactly as possible - the rocker box can be dismantled in a few simple steps because the parts are assembled with metal quick-release connectors. This quickly turns a bulky rocker box into a handy flat package of individual parts. A telescope whose versatility, performance and user-friendliness set new standards in this price class. Includes a high-quality objective solar filter for safe observation of sunspots, eclipses and planetary transits. A BRESSER premium telescope for night and solar observation. NOTE: Please note that "Newtonian" reflector telescopes are very good for astronomical observations in the starry sky, but are not well suited for nature and landscape observations during the day. We therefore recommend BRESSER refracting telescopes for nature and landscape observations. FEATURESType: Reflector telescope Telescope for night and solar observation Lightweight but very stable GRP telescope tubePrimary mirror diameter: 12" (305 mm) parabolic main mirror Focal length: 1,525 mm Aperture ratio: f/5 Maximum useful magnification: 610x Theor. resolving power: 0.45 arcseconds Easy to balance the tube by sliding it inside the tube rings Visual limiting magnitude: 14.5 mag Tube: GRP tube with adjustable tube rings and aluminium altitude bearings Focuser: 2.5" HEXAFOC focuser with 2" and 1 1/4" adapter Shifting-free focusing even with heavy accessories Secondary mirror bracket: very thin 4-arm steel spider Tube rings and altitude wheels made from aluminumDifferent sized adjustment and counter screws on the mirror cell Use of the optics also on EQ mounts (with optional dovetail bar) Mount: Dobsonian system Dismantlable rocker box Accessory tray for one 2" and two 1 1/4" eyepieces, mounted on the front side Eyepiece: BRESSER Super Plössl 25 mm (1 1/4") Viewfinder: 6x30 viewfinderHybrid viewfinder shoes (Art. 0620158) included (2 pcs)Tube weight without accessories: 16 kgTube weight with accessories: 18.9 kg Rocker box weight: 14.8 kg Total weight: 33.7 kg Overall dimensions: 60 x 60 x 163 cm SCOPE OF DELIVERY Tube with Newtonian optics Aperture solar filter 6x30 viewfinder Hybrid viewfinder shoes (2 pcs)25 mm Super-Plössl eyepiece (Ø 31.7 mm / 1.25") 1 extension tube 37.5 mm for 2.5" Hexafoc 1 eyepiece adapter Ø 31.7 to 50.8 mm 2 tube rings 2 altitude wheels Rocker box with 2 base plates and mounting material (disassembled for self-assembly) Shipping dimensions Box 1: 150 x 53 x 50 cm - 24 kg Shipping dimensions Box 2: 61 x 61 x 24 cm - 17 kg

EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC Ultra Light Dobsonian 406mm GENERATION II
Ultra Light Dobsonian 406mm GENERATION II - with completely redesigned and improved construction. No telescope type has influenced amateur astronomy as radically as the dobsonian telescope. Before the introduction of this telescope type by John Dobson the vast majority of amateur telescopes were small inadequate refractors on shaky mounts - just good enough to show the polar regions on mars or the rings of Saturn. Bigger telescopes, like the Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes, were restricted to the relatively small group of amateurs that could afford them. The brilliant combination of simple - but effective - mechanics and the largest aperture available led to a worldwide triumph of this concept. No other telescope type offers you so much light for your money as a good dobson. We have taken the motto "held together by gravity and driven by yoghurt power" and offer a modern version of the classic - designed by amateur astronomers for amateur astronomers. Despite its large aperture the telescope can be transported easily even in small cars and is assembled within minutes without tools. The construction was optimized for maximum rigidity with a minimum of mass. The combination of big altitude wheels and a optimized aluminium-sandwich construction allows for small movements even at high magnifications. The focus position is already positioned to accept our coma-corrector. The ideal workhorse for the deep-sky enthusiast. A telescope with 406mm aperture gathers more than 3300-times more light than the naked eye. Details on planetary surfaces stand out even to unexperienced observers, and countless deep-sky objects show details. Bright globular clusters are resolved down to the core and the view of the lunar terminator will provide a unforgettable experience.
