This dovetail plate with 100mm length is suitable for Lunt Solar Systems LS50THa, LS60THa, LS60MT, and LS80THa telescopes.The width of the dovetail is conform to the GP-level standard. Therefore it could be used at the BRESSER EXOS 1+2 mounts for example, but also at many other mounts. The telescope connecting screws are 1/4-20 inch size and they do not look out of the rail, which makes this rail a perfect match for many astronomical mounts. The H-alpha wavelength is the most impressive way to observe the sun, showing protuberances at the sun's edge, filaments and flares on the surface, and much more. An internal Etalon filter achieves a bandwidth of <0.7 Angstrom with the innovative air pressure tuning system Pressure-Tuner. Tuning is done by slightly changing the air pressure in a pressure chamber inside the telescope. This changes the refractive index of the air, making it easy to tune to the H-alpha line. The pressure tuner guarantees a homogeneous image, without central obstruction, and a permanently protected Etalon without erosion. A set of collimating lenses installed in the telescope ensures best performance.Fine adjustment is achieved with a solid 2 inch Rack&Pinion focuser with 10:1 reduction.Blocking-filter is the B1200. The B1200 is very good for visual solar observing, and also for solar imaging.The star diagonal in which the blocking filter is installed, is equipped as standard for 1.25 inch eyepieces and with a T2 camera connection.Observing the starry night sky:The H-alpha Etalon system can be removed from the telescope in a few easy steps thanks to its modular design. The 2-lens ED refractor can then be used as a normal telescope with 70mm aperture and 420mm focal length for observation and photography of the night sky. A very compact, complete telescope for observing the sun in H-alpha light.The LS50THa solar telescope offers 50 mm free aperture, 350 mm focal length, and provides a bandwidth of <0.75 Angstrom. The telescope is fitted as standard with the air-pressure tuning system "Pressure-Tuner", the Etalon is safely installed inside the telescope. Prominences and surface detail can quickly be viewed spontaneously. This very portable system is an ideal travel companion for wherever you go.A B600 blocking filter is installed inside the star diagonal. The B600 offers a larger field of view than the smaller B400 and is very good for visual solar observing. Focusing is achieved by a non-roting Helical focuser.Please note that there is only a small back-focus at this telescope, therefore solar-imaging is very difficult. The LS50THa is designed for visual solar observing. We recommend for imaging the 60mm telescopes of the LS60MT series.Also double-stacking with a bandwidth of only <0.5 Angstrom is possible by using the additional available LS50C filter (0550210). ​Spare part for blocking-filters from LUNT SOLAR SYSTEMS, suitable for B400, B500, B600, B1200 and B1800 blocking-filters.The H-alpha telescopes and filter systems from Lunt Solar Systems each include a blocking-filter. The blocking-filters have a blue colored filter part on the side facing the telescope. This blue colored filter parts may become a milky white layer at older blocking-filters if the blocking-filter was storded at high air humidity for some time. Please always store H-alpha telescopes and filters as dry as possible. If this blue colored filter part has become a milky white layer, it can be replaced with this spare part. The replacement is easy and can be done by the user himself. Installation instructions can be found here under the "Manuals" tab as a PDF for download.Please note that this replacement part can only be used on Lunt Solar Systems blocking-filters B400 to B1800. You see better with two eyesThe BRESSER BinoViewer Deluxe makes it possible to observe astronomical objects in a relaxed way with both eyes and with considerably more detail than using one eye. The images created of the moon, planets and globular clusters are particularly impressive. But also with deep-sky objects such as the Orion Nebula the detection of details is much easier. At the same time this binoviewer is very easy to handle. Thanks to the newly patented optical system you can get into focus with any telescope. All you need is a pair of identical eyepieces to enjoy this dramatic and immersive viewing experience.How to use the BinoViewer? Since the BRESSER BinoViewer Deluxe does not require an additional light path (back focus), it can be used with any telescope - including Newtonians and short focus refracting telescopes, which traditionally suffered when using standard binoviewers. No light path corrector or similar accessory is necessary. If a standard 1.25'' eyepiece can be focused, the binoviewer will also work. The eyepiece focal length and field of view size of the eyepieces used are fully retained. As with binoculars one eyepiece is focused first using the telescope focuser. Then the second eyepiece can be brought into focus using the helical focuser on the binoviewer. The required interpupillary distance is then elegantly adjusted to a range of 58–74mm with the help of a linear sliding mechanism, with graduated marker, to help you find your ideal interocular setting quickly.  Self-centring helical eyepiece grips, rather than side-mounted thumbscrew eyepiece retainers are used, decreasing the chance of offsetting collimation of both eyepiece to each other.  The fact that this design of binoviewer uses a well-engineered linear slide mechanism to adjust interpupillary distance, rather than a cheaper-to-produce traditional hinged design also helps retention of collimation.Which objects can be observed with this accessory?Actually, all objects that were previously observed with the telescope in question, but only monocularly with one eye. Because there is no magnification factor at the binoviewer, even low magnifications can be achieved. This makes not only the moon, planets and globular clusters, but also the brighter deep-sky objects very interesting observation targets. The use of two eyes leads to a more relaxed view than using one eye alone.  Although true depth of field viewing at infinity is a little beyond most telescopes and binoviewers, users will note how the human brain attempts to impose depth of field ("3d-like") effects on stereo views through binoviewers.  The biggest difference that most observers comment upon when comparing views through binoviewers like these, as opposed to single monocular eyepiece views, is the extra detail that can be seen in most observable targets.  Relaxed viewing and extra detail in objects are the two main benefits of binoviewing, which the BRESSER Bino Viewer Deluxe 1.25'' delivers in abundance.Also ideal as an accessory for solar telescopesA very special application is the use of the BRESSER BinoViewer Deluxe in combination with all solar telescopes.
