Differential interference contrast is now the standard for many professional life science applications. This method achieves aesthetic microscope images with the highest resolution and a very high contrast. As a contrast method, DIC generates impressive optical cuts, and is particularly useful for uncoloured, unfixed samples and living organisms that cannot be compressed. With preparations such as diatoms or radiolaria, it is possible to obtain aesthetic, textbook-quality images.
The DIC set works according to the Nomarski method. The light is first polarized and divided into two parallel but spatially separated beam paths by a special prism in the condenser. Depending on the material properties or light refraction, interference occurs between these two parallel beam paths when they pass through the sample. This accentuates certain structures in a pseudo 3D relief. Both beam paths are combined in the DIC slider, which is located behind the objectives; the rotatable polarizing filter then enables the desired contrast effect or the direction of the relief effect to be set and perfectly matched to the sample.
In combination with a Nexcope NE900 series microscope, this contrast method provides you with a professional observation instrument for your scientific investigations. It also provides an affordable option for amateur enthusiasts. With the Nexcope DIC, you receive a complete, pre-configured set that you can use without any prior specialist knowledge. Unlike phase contrast, adjustments are not required during the installation process. The DIC set is ready for use in a few simple steps, and the S-Apo objectives can also be used for bright field, dark field or polarization applications. While observing with the NE900 series microscope, you can switch directly between DIC, bright field, polarization or epi-fluorescence.
The BRESSER MikroCam II 20 MP 1’’ microscope camera is the professional solution when it comes to microscope imaging.
This camera has a big 1’’ sensor (image area 13.6 x 8.8 mm); this is the biggest sensor of the MikroCam camera range. With this camera it is possible to document roughly the same field of view as it can be seen through the eyepiece (e.g. when using a 10x / 22mm). Other models will cover only 50% or less of the eyepiece field of view.
The Sony IMX183 CMOS-sensor is very sensitive and has extremely low image noise, which makes this camera especially suitable for contrast methods like dark field or phase contrast.
The MikroCam Lab II software comes with a wide range of professional functions, e.g. measurements in live view (calibration slide needed), mosaic, Focus-Stacking (for improved depth of field). All automatic functions (exposure time, gain, white balance etc) can be adjusted manually as well.
Due to the big sensor size the camera will not work with all microscope models. It might be possible that the optics will not illuminate the full sensor, so you experience vignetting. Usually this can be resolved by using the optional 1x optical adapter (item no. 5914001).
Please note that this camera model is not suitable for the stereo microscope BRESSER Science ETD-201. It will cover only a small field of view.

The BRESSER MikroCamII 5MP HIS with the light sensitive and low-noise Sony® IMX264 sensor is perfectly suited for low light applications. The camera uses a global shutter, which captures moving objects without distortion.
With sufficient lighting, the camera is also capable of ultra short exposures as low as 1/50.000 second. In this mode, the camera can virtually freeze fast moving objects.

The BRESSER MikroCamII microscope cameras help to make photos and videos with a microscope very easy. The modern Sony® CMOS sensors give brilliant colours with very low noise and is the perfect choice for any application where true natural colours are important. The included imaging software has multiple adjustments for the capture of still images and videos. The integrated measuring* routine allows for a measurement in the camera live image. The software can be operated in the following languages: German, English, French, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Chinese. The camera housing includes the c-mount adapter thread. For use with 23.2 mm adaptations, we recommend the optional, variable 0,5x reducer (item no. 5914005). For special applications, the camera can also be mounted using the 1/4'' camera tripod thread. The BRESSER MikroCamII are equipped with a USB 3.0 port, compared to the MikroCam SP. This enables up to 8 times faster data transfers to the PC compared with the USB 2.0 standard. The camera is able to deliver more than 25 frames per second (depending on resolution, exposure time and PC performance). This is especially important when observing live microorganisms. The BRESSER MikroCam Pro HDMI Autofocus delivers excellent image quality with ease of use. The microscopic image is transferred in Full HD resolution and without delay to a HDMI monitor or TV screen. An optional 11" HDMI screen is available under item code 5914110 and can be mounted on the camera directly. It gives brilliant images with high contrast.
Microscope images and video can now be stored on a SD card. The Sony Sensor gives excellent image quality and is very light sensitive. So this camera is recommended for low light contrast methods like darkfield or phase contrast.
The autofocus enables the user to focus without using the mechanical focus wheel. When changing the objective, the focus will automatically be adjusted from the camera. The focus range from the "zero" position (which is the standard backfocus for C-Mount) up to 5,4 mm intrafocal to reach CS-Mount distance, and 10,6 mm extrafocal, to cover a wide range.
In addition to the autofocus functionality, you can set the focus with the mouse or set a user defined focus range.
The camera can be controlled with the included USB mouse directly through the on screen display. The on screen functionality now includes a measuring function as well, so the MikroCam Pro HDMI Autofocus upgrades your existing trinokular microscope to a fully equipped digital autofocus microscope.

The NEXCOPE NE910 microscope offers excellent optical performance and ease of use, and is ideal for scientific tasks. It is the perfect laboratory microscope for life sciences, histology, microbiology etc., and comes with an attractive price tag.
LENSES
The planachromatic infinity lenses ensure a flat field of view. Together with the swing top condensor (NA 0.9/0.25), the lenses deliver a high contrast and high resolution over the entire visible spectrum.
The nosepiece has six positions and is equipped with four lenses as standard (4x, 10x, 20x, 40x, 100x oil). These feature an M25 thread and a parfocal length of 60 mm. The 40x lens has a spring-loaded protection mechanism.
EYEPIECES
The eyepieces’ large 25 mm field of view allows you to view a very wide area.
The high eyepiece head is ideal for spectacle wearers. A rubber edge provides protection upon eye contact. A dioptre compensation of -5 to +5 can be set individually for each eyepiece.
The interpupillary distance can be adjusted between 47 mm and 78 mm.
ILLUMINATION
The powerful 3 W LED has an adjustable brightness and provides optimal illumination with excellent colour reproduction. The colour temperature stays constant when the light is dimmed.
The light is equipped with an Eco sensor that switches the light off when it is not in use.
The condensor with an iris diaphragm and swing top is adjustable and provides Köhler illumination together with the light source, which is also equipped with an iris diaphragm. Markings on the knurled ring allow you to adjust the aperture to the chosen lens at any time. The auxiliary lens can be pulled out to quickly switch the aperture from 0.9 to 0.25, e.g. to examine the specimen. This enables efficient and reproducible results. Frosted and neutral density filters can be moved into the beam path with a button press and provide optimal illumination/brightness adjustment without operating the dimmer.
MECHANICS
The XY stage is moved via a combination of a toothed rack drive and a wire rope hoist. This enables exact positioning for high magnifications. The height of the coaxial control knobs can be adjusted to ensure an ergonomic setup.
In addition to the coarse focus, the fine focus helps to render a very sharp image of the object. A full turn of the fine focus moves the table up/down by 0.2 mm. The fine focus can be adjusted with one finger on the right-hand side. The XY stage and focus can be operated simultaneously with one hand. The table height limit helps to protect the specimens and optimize workflows. The large (152x190mm) specimen stage with an impact-resistant Gorilla Glass™ inlay is suitable for all laboratory tasks. It is also resistant to liquids and easy to clean.
The friction of the coarse focus can be adjusted to the user.
The fine focus knobs are held in place magnetically and can be installed on the left or right side as desired.

To enhance contrast according to the refraction index and the thickness of the preparations. The phase contrast set contains four different irises, four different phase contrast objectives (10x, 20x, 40x, 100x oil) and a green color filter. A collimating eyepiece allows easy aligning.
This method is especially suitable for non-stained, low contrast samples (epithelium cells, amoeba, white blood cells) and will also help with visibility of bacteria. Therefore it is used in cell culture and life science where color staining cannot be used.
One position of the filter holder is free. Thus the phase contrast set can also be used as a brightfield condenser with iris diaphragm.

The NIB 630 is the flagship of the NIB600 series of inverted microscopes. With such an inverted design, the device enables the microscopy of plankton, microalgae and cell cultures. Cell cultures can be examined directly in the culture vessel without taking samples.
For particularly easy sample handling, it is equipped with a tiltable lighting unit. This means that even tall vessels can be placed comfortably without bumping against the lighting unit. The microscope head is equipped with a height-adjustable ergo viewing head. This allows users of different heights to adjust the microscope to a comfortable and ergonomic viewing height with a single hand movement.
This special microscope is used in water management offices, research institutes and universities, in human and veterinary medicine, agriculture, marine biology, limnology, aquaculture and many more.
The integrated display informs you at any time about the selected magnification and the status of the illumination as well as the ECO mode. The brightness can be programmed for each objective so that there is no need to readjust when changing magnification and the user is not blinded.
OBJECTIVE
The NEXCOPE NIB630 microscope is equipped with a quintuple nosepiece. A 4x planachromatic objective and one each of 10x, 20x and 40x planachromatic phase contrast objectives are included. The condenser has a numerical aperture of 0.3 and an extra long working distance. The objectives are calculated for a soil thickness of 1.2 mm. Please use appropriate culture vessels. The universal specimen holder is suitable for standard slides.
EYEPIECES
The eyepieces have a field of view of 22 mm. This gives you a very large field of view. The high eye point makes them very comfortable even for spectacle wearers. A rubber edge protects against scratches on contact. Dioptric compensation from -5 to +5 can be individually adjusted for each eyepiece.
The interpupillary distance can be adjusted between 48 mm and 75 mm. The binocular can be tilted up and down to adjust the viewing height.
ILLUMINATION
The Koehler illumination provides the best possible light guidance of the microscopy light. This avoids stray light and only illuminates the just visible area in the specimen. This protects sensitive living specimens from excessive light irradiation. The powerful 3W LED can be adjusted in brightness and ensures optimal illumination. The brightness can be adjusted individually for each objective. If an objective is changed, the NEXCOPE NIB630 automatically adjusts the previously set brightness. The display shows the currently selected lens and the current brightness. The tiltable lighting unit makes it easier to work with taller sample vessels. The adjustable condenser with extra-long working distance enables quick readiness for use.
MECHANICS
In addition to coarse focusing, fine focusing helps to bring the specimen into focus very precisely. A full turn of the fine focusing knob moves the stage up or down by 0.2 mm. On the right side, the fine focus can be adjusted with a finger. The friction of the coarse focusing can also be varied.
The fine focusing knobs are held magnetically and can be mounted on the left or right.
The XY stage offers the possibility of inserting various holders. This allows slides or even petri dishes to be inserted.
CAMERA CONNECTION
The NEXCOPE NIB630 is specially designed for use with C-mount cameras. The camera connection is located on the side and has a switch between visual observation and camera (100/0 or 0/100). You can choose from two different adapters, depending on the sensor size:

Capture 4K video with the BRESSER MikroCamII 9MP 4K microscope camera. The video can be up to 30 fps depending on the PC used. The camera uses a global shutter, which captures moving objects without distortion. The big image sensor (14.13 x 7.45mm) captures a big field of view. The high light sensitivity of the Sony® IMX305 CMOS-sensor produces excellent images even when using darkfield or phase contrast.The BRESSER MikroCamLabII software includes a variety of useful functions, e.g. measuring in live mode (optional calibration slide needed), mosaic/stitching, focus stacking (for extended depth of field). All camera parameters (exposure time, gain, white balance) can be set manually.Mosaic and focus stacking can be done in live mode, which gives instant results even for unexperienced users. The method is also much faster than the normal procedure where a set of images is rendered afterwards. To use the mosaic function in live mode, a crosstable / mechanical desk is highly recommended to move the sample.The big camera sensor is not compatible with all microscope models. It might lead to vignetting (dark edges). The specimen is illuminated from above and inspected from underneath. This inverted design enables microscopy of plankton, microalgae and cell cultures. This allows cell cultures to be examined directly in the culture vessel without taking samples.
This special microscope can be used in a wide range of applications, such as water management agencies, research institutes and universities, human and veterinary medicine, agriculture, marine biology, limnology and aquaculture.
The inverted design prevents the lenses from coming into contact with the fluid. The specimen does not need to be covered, and the coating thickness is irrelevant. Culture vessels require a base thickness of 1.2 mm.

The interpupillary distance can be adjusted between 48 mm and 75 mm. You can adjust the angle of the binocular part according to your posture and physique.
ILLUMINATIONThe powerful 3 W LED has an adjustable brightness and provides the best possible illumination. The brightness can be adjusted individually for each objective. When an objective is changed, the NEXCOPE NIB620 automatically adjusts the previous brightness settings. The display shows the currently selected objective and the current brightness. The adjustment-free condenser enables quick readiness for use. The condenser can be removed for bright field observations in order to create more free space.
MECHANICS In addition to the coarse focus, the fine focus helps to render a very sharp image of the object. A full turn of the fine focus moves the stage up/down by 0.2 mm. On the right side, fine focus can be done with one finger. The friction of the coarse focus can also be adjusted. The fine focus knobs are held in place magnetically and can be replaced as needed. The cross stage offers the possibility to insert different holders. For example, you can insert slides or petri dishes. The microscope can also be operated without the cross stage. This creates a large, flat surface.
CAMERA CONNECTION The NEXCOPE NIB620 is specially designed for use with c-mount cameras.
