Product information "PULSAR Krypton 2 FXQ35 Thermal Imaging Clip-On Device"
Every gram counts when hunting. The Krypton 2 impresses with user-friendly handling and comfortable operation. Its short length, low weight, and balanced distribution have minimal impact on the overall balance of the weapon-optic setup when mounted in front of a riflescope. The controls are easy to reach, and the compact form also simplifies storage.
Durable magnesium alloy housing
The lightweight yet strong magnesium alloy housing offers high structural integrity and protects the Krypton 2 from recoil and vibration. It is resistant to external mechanical, temperature, and climatic influences. The housing efficiently dissipates heat from internal electronic components, enhancing the devices operational stability.
Maximum battery performance: up to 11 hours runtime on a single charge
The IPS7 Li-Ion battery pack is quick to replace, charges rapidly, and delivers up to 11 hours of continuous operation. One battery lasts through the night without the need for replacement. Its wireless design and extended runtime make this power source ideal for field use.
Highly sensitive thermal sensor
The 384x288 pixel @ 17 µm thermal sensor with NETD <25 mK provides exceptional detail detection, even in poor weather conditions and low thermal contrast. Small temperature differences are clearly visible in rain, fog, and cold morning hours the most demanding conditions for thermal imaging.
Ergonomic Bluetooth remote control
The wireless Pulsar BT Bluetooth remote control duplicates the device's buttons and offers excellent ergonomics. The buttons activate commonly used functions, while fine settings and menu navigation are performed by rotating or pressing the encoder. The design, layout, and size allow for comfortable use with bare hands or gloves. When mounted on the fore-end or rifle stock, adjustments can be made with minimal movement, allowing the hunter to stay focused.
Customisable user interface
New to Pulsar thermal clip-ons is the ability to scale the graphical interface. Menu and status bar positions can be adjusted based on the magnification level of the daytime riflescope, allowing for clear viewing of device status and convenient menu use across various zoom levels.
Full-colour Full-HD AMOLED display
The new FHD full-colour AMOLED display offers high contrast, a wide dynamic range, and energy efficiency. Its fast response time ensures a sharp, fluid image when observing on the move or in freezing conditions.
Quick-release PSP-B bayonet adapter with precise display alignment
The thermal clip-on connects to the adapter via a four-point bayonet mount that is highly secure and quick to operate. No tools are required to detach the device from one adapter and mount it on another. This allows the hunter to easily use multiple daytime optics with the Krypton 2. The precise alignment mechanism ensures the thermal or night vision image is perfectly centred in the daytime optics field of view for optimal comfort.
Suitable for .375 H&H
The Krypton 2 clip-on series features high recoil resistance, enabling use with large-calibre hunting rifles such as 9.3×64, .30-06, .300, .375, as well as with smoothbore and airsoft rifles.
Stable point of impact
The Krypton 2 allows shooters to acquire targets and take accurate shots in low-light conditions without complicated adjustments. The optical and electronic components are arranged sequentially for precise alignment and simple calibration. The device maintains a stable point of impact even when refocused at different ranges.
3-level sensitivity enhancement
The user can select the level of signal amplification. Combined with new filtering algorithms and fine brightness/contrast settings, this provides outstanding long-range observation in varied weather and temperature conditions. It also improves the visibility of animal features and ensures a clear view of targets and background.
High-aperture germanium lens
The F35/1.0 germanium lens offers excellent infrared transmission in the LWIR spectrum. Thanks to precision manufacturing, the image produced by the Krypton 2 sensor is sharp and richly detailed.
Mountable on Weaver rail
Use the PSP-V adapter to mount the Krypton in front of your daytime riflescope on a Weaver rail. The adapter offers two height settings to accommodate different objective lens sizes and mounting heights. It features a quick-release single-lever locking system and includes a silicone insert that protects the riflescope objective from stray light.
Built-in photo and video recorder
The Krypton 2 includes an integrated video recorder with internal memory capable of storing hours of footage and tens of thousands of images. A single button press is all it takes to capture a moment or begin recording.
Stream Vision 2: Wi-Fi integration with iOS and Android
The integrated Wi-Fi module connects the Krypton 2 to Android and iOS devices via the Stream Vision 2 mobile app. This allows wireless firmware updates, real-time image streaming, sharing of media files via social media or messaging apps, remote control of digital functions, and access to Pulsar news. Registered users also receive 16 GB of cloud storage for media recorded with the device.
Dual-band Wi-Fi support: 2.4 / 5 GHz
The Krypton 2 thermal imagers support both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi channels for smartphone connectivity. The 5 GHz band offers higher bandwidth, faster data transmission, better stability, and reduced interference ensuring a more seamless connection and operation with mobile devices.
8 selectable colour palettes
With 8 colour palettes to choose from, users can optimise their view for specific tasks and quickly adapt to changing observation conditions. White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are ideal for detection, while Rainbow and Ultramarine improve recognition and identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are best suited for long-term night observation.
Waterproof to IPX7 standard (submersible)
IPX7 waterproof protection ensures reliable operation in heavy rain, snow, or other precipitation. The Krypton 2 can be submerged in up to 1 metre of water for 30 minutes without damage.
Up to 3 weapon profiles storable
Store up to 3 different weapon profiles in your Krypton to switch easily between rifles. The freeze function during zeroing freezes the image, allowing precise adjustments.
Wide operating temperature range (-25 to +50 °C)
The housing, batteries, optics, and electronics of the Krypton 2 are designed for reliable operation in extreme conditions performing flawlessly even at -25 °C.
Quick conversion from clip-on to 3x thermal monocular
In just a few seconds, the compact Pulsar 3x20B monocular (sold separately) transforms the Krypton 2 into a standalone 3x thermal imaging monocular. The bayonet mount allows for fast and secure conversion in the field.
