Product information "PULSAR Thermal Imaging Device Axion XG35 Compact"
Our most compact and affordable devices are perfect for hunters who want to explore the possibilities of thermal imaging technology without breaking the budget. They are handy and easy to carry, yet still offer high thermal sensitivity and many premium features, including Wi-Fi connectivity and our latest image processing algorithms.
Durable Magnesium Alloy Housing
The Axion is designed for constant, often tough use. The magnesium alloy housing is lightweight yet robust. The housing reliably protects the internal components of the thermal imaging device from shocks, drops, moisture, heat, or cold. At the same time, the metal housing dissipates heat from the electronics, minimizes image noise, and increases the device's operational stability during long-term observations.
Highly Sensitive "Made in Europe" Sensor with 640x480 Pixels and NETD <40 mK
The Axion XG35 Compact is equipped with a European sensor with a resolution of 640x480 pixels (pixel size 12 micrometers), which captures a high-quality signal even under challenging observation conditions such as rain, fog, and high humidity at the observation site.
Germanium Lens F35/1.0 with Large Aperture
The large germanium F35/1.0 lens offers high transmission in the long-wave infrared (LWIR) range. Thanks to the highly precise manufacturing of the optical elements of the lens, the image produced by the Axion XG35 Compact thermal imaging device sensor is characterized by clarity and detail accuracy.
Extended Battery Life. Up to 7 Hours on a Single Charge
A high-capacity rechargeable APS3 battery allows the thermal imaging device to operate for up to 7 hours on a single charge. The battery can be quickly removed from the battery compartment and replaced with a new one. The battery can be charged in a special device or within the device via PC, wall plug, or power bank using USB-C. The same sources are used for the external power supply of the thermal imaging device.
Improved Wi-Fi Connectivity Supporting 2.4 / 5 GHz Frequency Ranges
The Axion XG Compact thermal imaging cameras complement the standard smartphone connection frequency range over a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channel with an effective 5 GHz range. The 5 GHz connection provides better bandwidth, faster data transfer rates, noise immunity, and improved connection stability, leading to more productive and easier operation of the thermal camera with a smartphone.
1750 m Detection Range
The germanium F35/1.0 lens combined with a highly sensitive 640x480@12 µm / NETD <40 mK thermal sensor offers exceptional detection capabilities. A standard 1.8 m tall object can be detected in complete darkness at a distance of up to 1750 m.
Field of View Over 12.5 Degrees / 21.9 m @ 100 m
The Axion XG Compact thermal imaging devices are suitable for wide-area viewing, for observation while moving, or for moving objects. The Picture-in-Picture function activates an additional window at the top of the screen, displaying the central area of the observed scene magnified 2x or 4x. This way, the information content of a wide field of view can be combined with detailed observation of the selected object.
Pocket-Sized and Lightweight
The Axion XG Compact has a space-saving design and weighs only 410 grams. Thanks to its symmetrical design and the arrangement of buttons on the top, the device is easy to hold and operate for both right- and left-handed users.
Variable Magnification from 2x to 20x
The up to 8x digital zoom improves sharpness and enhances object detection at long distances. The zoom can be adjusted either step-by-step or continuously for an optimal, situation-specific field of view.
Quick Start-Up
The Axion XG Compact features a short start-up time: after pressing the ON button, the device is fully operational within 5 seconds. The quick start function helps save power: the Axion XG Compact does not need to stay on constantly during the hunt but can be quickly turned on when needed.
Waterproof to IPX7 Standard
Waterproof to IPX7, protecting the device from heavy rain, snow, or other moisture influences. The device is designed to function perfectly even if submerged in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
Built-in 64 GB Photo and Video Recorder, Additional Cloud Storage
The Axion XG Compact has a built-in video recorder. The internal memory of the Axion XG Compact can store hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. A simple press of a button is enough to take a photo or start a video recording. The recordings can be copied to a computer hard drive via USB-C. Axion XG Compact owners also have access to additional cloud storage for photos and videos recorded with the device in the Pulsar Cloud storage. Simply install the Stream Vision 2 mobile app, log in, and connect the device via Wi-Fi to a smartphone.
High-Contrast AMOLED Screen
The high-contrast AMOLED screen has improved colour reproduction, is power-efficient, and responsive, providing sharp and smooth images even in frost.
Remote Control via Smartphone and Software Updates with the Stream Vision 2 App
The integrated Wi-Fi connects the Axion XG Compact with Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile app. This opens up a variety of possibilities, such as wireless software updates for the device, real-time image transmission from the device to the smartphone screen, sharing photos and videos recorded with the device on social media, or transferring them to messenger applications, remotely controlling digital device functions, and accessing the latest news from Pulsar. Additionally, registered users get extra cloud storage for photos and videos recorded with the device.
Choice of 8 Colour Palettes
A selection of 8 colour palettes allows the user to better observe their field of view, optimize the device for specific tasks, and respond to changing observation conditions. White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are optimal for detecting an object, while Rainbow and Ultramarine increase the chances of detection and identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are best for long observations at night.
