Product information "PULSAR Thermal Imaging Device Telos XP50"
In the high-tech industry, components and software solutions are constantly evolving and thermal imaging is no exception. Over time, users also develop more specific preferences and performance expectations. Thats why the Telos thermal monocular line was developed with a focus on technology and user needs. Telos is the first line of thermal imaging devices on the market that can be technically upgraded at the customers request. Own a Telos and gain the ability to enhance it over the years whether with more powerful optics, a higher-resolution sensor and screen, more efficient electronics, or new features. You can even add a laser rangefinder or additional optical channels. This way, you'll always have the latest model, paying only for the upgrades.
Highly Sensitive Thermal Sensor
The extremely sensitive thermal sensor with a NETD value of <18 mK ensures impressive image quality and precise detail recognition even under the most difficult weather conditions when thermal contrast is low. Even the smallest temperature differences become visible in rain, fog, or early morning cold the most challenging conditions for thermal imaging.
Advanced Pulsar Image Boost Technology
Pulsar Image Boost gives the Telos thermal camera maximum detail, clarity, and contrast through a set of proprietary image processing algorithms. Telos monoculars reproduce complex scenes in a wide range of halftones and show low-contrast objects like sky, grass, or water clearly. Software-based detailing and sharpening of objects at different distances enrich the image with information. Manual sensitivity enhancement improves animal detection in worsening observation conditions. A smoothing filter and extensive brightness and contrast settings enable long-term, comfortable observation.
Objective Ring Zoom Control
You can adjust the Telos image perfectly with one hand the rings for focusing and smooth zoom are located on the objective lens in a classic layout, one behind the other, just like on professional camera lenses. Their aligned design allows for quick and effortless adjustments to achieve a clear image at the desired magnification.
Built for Harsh Conditions
Telos thermal devices are built for rugged outdoor use and operate in temperatures from -25°C to +40°C. They are waterproof, even when fully submerged. The rubber-coated polymer composite housing offers excellent handling and protection. The compact, snag-free design and ergonomic shape make the Telos easy and safe to handle over long periods.
Replaceable Battery with Wired and Wireless Fast Charging
The brand-new LPS 7i quick-swap Li-ion battery provides more than 8 hours of operating time. It doesnt require a special charger just connect it via USB Type-C to any power adapter, and it supports Power Delivery fast charging. The LPS 7i battery also supports wireless charging.
Ergonomic, Non-Slip, Rubber-Coated Housing
The rubber-armored housing ensures a secure grip in both dry and wet conditions. It is highly durable and resistant to extreme temperatures, dust, moisture, and impacts. It also cleans easily and retains its original appearance over time.
Adaptable for Left- and Right-Handed Users
The vertical, symmetrical button layout allows the Telos to be operated with either hand equally well with top-mounted controls and zoom/focus rings on the lens. The hand strap attaches to movable rings and can be secured at both ends, making it easy to switch between left- and right-handed operation.
Ergonomic and Functional Carrying Case
A hunter must move quickly. Good gear is available when needed and unobtrusive the rest of the time. The Telos carry case has an elegant appearance, is user-friendly, and comfortable to wear. The thermal imager can be quickly retrieved and deployed. The optimized strap system distributes the devices weight across the body, relieving shoulders, back, and neck. The close-fitting case allows full mobility bending, turning, crouching, or navigating terrain and use of firearms is unimpeded. The bag can also be attached to belts and gear using a modular MOLLE system.
Customizable User Interface
Telos monoculars offer advanced features, but users can customize the menu layout and prioritize specific functions for faster, more intuitive operation.
Detection Range
The fast-aperture F50/1.0 lens combined with the professional-grade 640x480@17µm sensor allows detection of a standard 1.8 m object at a distance of up to 1,800 meters in complete darkness.
Fast-Aperture F50/1.0 Lens
The performance of thermal optics depends largely on their ability to detect minimal thermal radiation. The fast F50/1.0 lens, together with the sensitive sensor, ensures maximum detection efficiency. Even in rain or fog with minimal contrast, the Telos delivers high-quality, detailed, contrast-rich imagery.
Integrated Video Recorder with 32 GB Internal Memory
The Telos includes a built-in video recorder. The internal storage can hold hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. A single button press captures interesting scenes or starts recording.
Stream Vision 2: Wi-Fi Integration with iOS and Android Devices
Built-in Wi-Fi connects the Telos to the Stream Vision 2 app on Android and iOS smartphones. This enables wireless firmware updates, real-time image streaming, remote control, sharing of photos/videos via social media or messengers, and access to Pulsar news. Registered users also receive 16 GB of free cloud storage for media captured with the device.
Support for Dual-Band Wi-Fi: 2.4 / 5 GHz
Telos supports not only the standard 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band but also the faster and more stable 5 GHz band offering better bandwidth, faster data transfer, noise immunity, and improved connection stability, making smartphone integration more effective.
High-Contrast AMOLED Display
The AMOLED display offers rich colors, is energy-efficient, and delivers sharp, smooth images even at sub-zero temperatures.
8 Color Palettes to Choose From
With 8 selectable color palettes, users can optimize their viewing experience for specific tasks or conditions. White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are best for detection. Rainbow and Ultramarine enhance recognition and identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are ideal for extended nighttime observation.
Waterproof Rated IPX7 (Submersible)
Waterproof according to IPX7 protected against heavy rain, snow, or complete submersion (up to 1 meter for 30 minutes).
Wide Operating Temperature Range (-25°C to +40°C)
The housing, battery, optics, and electronics of the Telos are built for reliable and efficient operation in extreme cold down to -25°C.
