With the AP Transportable Star Tracker Set (Part No. X000055 / #25831) you can quickly and easily turn your existing AP mount into a small, powerful star tracker for mobile use and air travel.

In this case, the RA motor module with the STARBOOK ONE control serves as the drive for the AP Star Tracker and is connected to the set. You can use all the advantages and tracking speeds of your STARBOOK ONE controller on the portable Star Tracker, transferring the tracking accuracy from your AP mount to the small Star Tracker and allowing you to shoot with larger optics on your trip. The built-in ST4 port of the STARBOOK ONE controller even allows guiding in the RA axis for long exposures.
If you don't already own an AP mount, all you need is the RA motor module with the STARBOOK ONE controller (Üart No. X000035 / #25804) to put this star tracker together.

You will be amazed at how accurately the tracking will point the stars for you and what great astrophotos you will be able to take with it. This set is also very suitable for travelling to solar eclipses.

Never look at the sun through an eyepiece/telescope without a certified protection filter. A moon filter can never be used for solar observation. The moon filter is only suitable for moon observation. The solar filter must be mounted in front of the telescope opening, not at the eyepiece. Otherwise, the concentrated light beam through the optics will immediately destroy the filter foil, leading to severe eye damage, including permanent blindness.
Never leave the optics unattended. Children and inexperienced adults could point the telescope at the sun without proper precautions and lose their eyesight.
Do not expose the device to high temperatures.

The DD dovetail mount was developed for the POLARIE multi-mounting block to attach camera equipment - from DSLR cameras, to telephoto lenses or even compact telescopes. Using this accessory, the load capacity of the POLARIE Star Tracker is increased to up to 6 kg. To make it easier to find the Pole Star, there is a wide slot in the dovetail for the polar finder. Vixen Polarscope PF-L II for AP & SX Mounts

Vixen’s latest design of polar finder, allows a simple, hassle-free method of polar alignment. The Vixen Polarscope PF-L II for AP & SX mounts has a reticule showing the Pole star (Polaris) and two other stars (Delta UMi and 51 Cep) in their precise positions. By turning the Polarscope you can easily match the reticle with the asterism of these stars in the sky and mechanically adjust your mount’s azimuth and altitude axes to align to the true North Pole. You can then adjust the Polar star to a more precise alignment using the reticule’s year marking (which runs from 2015 to 2040, but in practise can be used much longer after this) . Using this alignment process, with visual reference to the actual stars in the sky, a complicated alignment, using date and time to calculate Polaris offset from the pole is unnecessary. For alignment in the Southern Hemisphere you simply use the Trapezium asterism (Sigma, Chi, Tau and Upsilon Octantis) of the constellation Octans and position the reticule with the trapezium stars aligned to their marked positions. The Polarscope has built-in LED illumination, which is dimmable in many stages, and ensures an automatic shut-off after 2 minutes, saving your battery life. The PFL-II also has an improved edge sharpness, when compared with its predecessor.
