The Vixen Mobile Porta mount head without a tripod is a small, portable travel mount for quick observations that does not require elaborate setup. The head can be attached to a standard photo tripod with 1/4- or 3/8-inch photo thread.Thanks to its new, compact design and low weight, the mount is ready to use in just a few steps and is very portable. In addition, the new multi-arm can be adjusted from different angles, allowing for comfortable viewing at the zenith, even with longer telescopes. Do you already own a BRESSER Photo Mount (Product No. 4964111) and you are searching for an extremly stable field tripod ?The height-adjustable stainless steel tripod with polar wedge is an extremely stable base for the BRESSER photo mount. Thanks to the integrated circular level in the tripod head even the leveling of the photo mount is child's play. The photo mount's head can be installed directly on the top of the polar wedge using two 1/4 photo thread screws. The Twilight I is a light-to-medium-duty alt-azimuth mount and tripod designed to quickly and easily accept small to medium sized refractors, such as the AR102 + AR127s or ED102mm + ED127, and of course, the ED80mm. Lightweight, fast Newtonians will also match up nicely with the Explore Scientific Twilight I mount. As long as your telescope does not exceed 18 pounds and has a Vixen-Style Universal Dovetail bar for mounting the telescope to the mount head, you are good to go. The Twilight I alt-azimuth mount head is made of powder-coated aluminum and there are worm gears on both axes. The adjustable angle head can be tilted forward or back at a 45° angle to allow more clearance for your telescope so you can point it straight up for viewing at the zenith. The Allen hex wrench for doing the mount head adjustment can be safely stored at the integrated magnetic holder.  Slow-motion control cables are attached on the vertical and horizontal axes, and are easy to turn during the night, even with gloves on, due to the over-sized knurled knobs that are attached to the end of each cable. They can be attached to either side of each axis to accommodate right or left-handed users, or different types of telescopes (e.g. refractors vs. Newtonian reflectors) for ease of adjustment. The stainless steel tripod that comes standard with the Twilight I mount has adjustable legs and a wide foot print of 42 inches, which makes the tripod more stable. The mount is as easy to use as a photo tripod, it is just more stable and easily carries telescopes weighing up to 4 kg.
