Product information "Vixen POLARIE U Polsucher PF-L II Set"
You need this Vixen polar finder set for the POLARIE U Star Tracker in order to be able to align the POLARIE U exactly to the celestial pole. This is very important for longer focal lengths and exposure times, in order to obtain point-like star images. The polar finder enables polar alignment with an accuracy of 3 arc minutes . The polar alignment is very simple: You only have to bring the Pole Star and two other stars into the field of view of the polar finder and rotate them with the stars so that they are congruent with the reticule shown in the polar finder.  No further calculation is needed - no time and date to set, just match the reticule to the polar stars and get imaging. The polar finder PF-L II has red, dimmable lighting that switches itself off after a few minutes in order to save the batteries.

BRESSER Pollux-I 150/750 EQ3 Reflector Telescope with Smartphone Adapter & Solar Filter
Explore hidden worlds through your own eyes – with the BRESSER Pollux-I telescope starter set for budding amateur astronomers, you can go on your own journey of discovery in outer space. Everything you need is already included: the astronomical reflector telescope with 150 mm aperture and 750 mm focal length, the equatorial mount, the tripod and a wide range of accessories for astronomical observations. Perfect for getting started quickly: the system is very easy to use. In addition, the entry-level telescope impresses with its versatility: you can observe the Moon and planets as well as star clusters, gas nebulae and even galaxies through the high-quality optics. Due to the parabolic primary mirror the image delights with impressive sharpness and high contrast. In addition, the 2-inch focuser allows for the use of high-quality eyepieces. Perfect conditions for fascinating sights of the night sky! Time-proven optics for your first astro-steps – the telescope By choosing the Pollux-I, you’ll start your journey to the stars with a classic Newtonian reflector telescope. Beginners are often surprised by the fact that with telescopes of this type you don't look in at the back of the tube, but at the front and laterally. This gives you the advantage of always being able to look into the telescope in a comfortable posture, even when it's pointed vertically upwards at the sky. In addition, these reflector telescopes offer optics that are absolutely free of chromatic aberrations and thus provide good imaging properties. The large aperture of 150 mm collects a lot of light from the celestial objects. In addition, 150 mm aperture and 750 mm focal length result in a short focal ratio (ratio of aperture to focal length) of 1 to 5 (F/5). On the one hand, this makes the telescope fast and provide a bright image. On the other hand, high magnifications can be achieved. This combination makes the entry-level telescope so versatile. In addition, the Pollux-I is equipped with a parabolic primary mirror. The remarkable effect of this special mirror shape: you enjoy excellent imaging properties at all magnification levels. So you can look forward to the complete range of celestial highlights. At low to medium magnification, you can admire deep-sky objects such as open star clusters, globular clusters, gas nebulae and even galaxies such as the pair of galaxies M65 and M66 in the constellation Leo. And at high magnifications, observing the planets or details on the Moon is an absolute pleasure. You can get really close to your favourite objects: The aperture of 150 mm achieves a resolving power that allows magnifications of up to about 300x with sharp images. Technically, even higher magnifications are possible, theoretically up to 562.5x using the included accessories. However, with increasing magnification, the sharpness of the image can slowly decrease. In addition, the prevailing conditions always make a difference: How highly you can magnify always depends not only on the power of the telescope but also on the air turbulence in the atmosphere (seeing conditions). The telescope also impresses with its flexibility in terms of eyepiece compatibility: it comes with a 2-inch focuser (focuser extension) and an adapter from 2 inch to 1.25 inch. This enables you to use eyepieces with 1.25-inch sockets (about 31.7 mm) as well as eyepieces with the larger 2-inch sockets (about 50.8 mm) with large fields of view. Note for nature lovers: If you choose a Newtonian telescope like the Pollux-I reflector telescope, you can look forward to a specialist in astronomical observation. However, the image is always displayed laterally reversed as well as upside down, which makes no difference when observing the sky. However, this type of telescope is less suitable for nature and landscape observation during the day. Would you like to use your new telescope for exciting nature discoveries as well? Then we recommend that you choose one of the BRESSER refractor telescopes. Perfect foundation for fascinating discoveries – mount and tripod Your beginner's telescope is securely held by the height-adjustable aluminium tripod with equatorial mount. The special feature of this mount, also known as a parallactic mount: in contrast to azimuthal models, the movement of the celestial bodies is only compensated for on one axis instead of two. For this purpose, you simply align one axis parallel to the Earth's axis by pointing it approximately at Polaris. For precise and comfortable alignment and tracking of the entry-level telescope, the Pollux-I comes equipped with two flexible shafts with fine adjustment. And to ensure that the interchangeable eyepieces, barlow lens etc. always remain within reach, they can be stored on the tray between the tripod legs.Keep track of things automatically: For this telescope’s equatorial EQ-3 mount, the tracking motor with item number 4951400 is available as an optional accessory. This eliminates the need to manually track a celestial object set in the telescope. When this motor is installed at the mount, it automatically tracks the celestial object, keeping it in the field of view of the eyepiece. This makes observing the night sky even more comfortable! Well equipped for the ideal start – the accessories Your entry-level telescope comes with a wide range of astronomy accessories so that you can start to be amazed right away. For example, the LED viewfinder helps you align the telescope and find celestial objects. Installed in parallel on the telescope, this direction finder shows you a red dot when you look through it. It appears to hover in front of the sky and thereby shows you where the telescope is pointing. Varying view of the sky: With the two eyepieces with 1.25-inch sockets (31.7 mm), you can admire your astronomical discoveries at different magnifications. The 3x barlow lens already included in the set triples the magnification of the eyepiece you are using. Enjoy safe observations of our Sun with the included solar filter. This way you can easily take a closer look at sunspots and granulation on our own star. CAUTION: Never point the telescope at the Sun without the solar filter! Astrophotography for beginners: with the smartphone adapter, you can use your mobile phone as a camera on the telescope. This way you will quickly impress friends and relatives with your own first snapshots e. g. of the Moon or the Sun. FEATURES Reflector telescope with 150 mm aperture and 750 mm focal length Reflector type Newton with parabolic primary mirror Very well suited for observing the Sun, Moon and planets as well as star clusters, gas nebulae and galaxies Height-adjustable tripod with equatorial EQ3 mount Precise movement through flexible shafts and fine adjustment in both axes Easy to use, very good for beginners Focal ratio F/5, thus very suitable for many celestial objects 2-inch (50.8 mm) focuser with adapter to 1.25-inch (31.7 mm) Two eyepieces and one barlow lens with 1.25-inch (31.7 mm) sockets for different magnifications Safe solar observation with the included solar filter First steps in astrophotography with smartphone camera adapter SCOPE OF DELIVERY Telescope Aluminium tripod Equatorial EQ3 mount Adapter from 2 inch to 1.25 inch Eyepieces: 4 mm and 20 mm (1.25-inch sockets) Barlow lens 3x (1.25-inch socket) LED illuminated dot finder Solar filter Smartphone camera adapter Accessory tray Astronomy software as download Instruction manual

BRESSER StarTracker Astronomical Photo Mount Kit
Do you already own a photo camera and would like to create impressive pictures of the night sky with the help of the long exposure or even make time-lapse pictures with little effort? The BRESSER StarTracker Astronomical Photo Mount Kit is the ideal base. Not only for beginners in astrophotography, this mount is particularly well suited, but also the experts swear by a compact and easy-to-use mount to automatically compensate for the natural rotation of the earth. The built-in tracking motor rotates the saddle-mounted camera precisely against the earth's rotation and thus the stars remain in pinpoint shape even with long exposures. This set contains all the components required for a quick and comfortable entry into the world of astrophotography with the exception of a camera and objective lens: A stable BRESSER tripod TP-100 DX with carrying bag, the BRESSER Micro Motion Head MH-100 (polar-wedge), the BRESSER Polar Finder Scope for StarTracker PM-100 and of course the BRESSER StarTracker astrophoto mount PM-100 with ball head.Which cameras are basically suitable for use with the BRESSER photo mount? All cameras with 1/4'' (6.3mm) tripod connection thread and bulb length B for long exposure are suitable. The BRESSER StarTracker Astronomical Photo Mount PM-100 is designed for a camera with lens of max. 2.0 kg total weight to carry and track in polar mode. In Azimut mode also a camera weight up to 5.0kg is possible.  Large aperture, wide-angle lenses are ideal for the beginning, because the requirements for tracking accuracy accumulate with increasing focal length and exposure time. Thus, a shot with wide-angle lens can be exposed for up to several minutes and the stars remain punctiform without problems. For example, with a 200mm telephoto lens the polar alignment of the photo mount must be exactly right. But thanks to the delievered optical Polar Finder Scope, this is done quickly. After setting up the light and compact StarTracker Photo Mount, simply set the approximate latitude (pole height) and aim Polaris through the integrated Polar Finder Scope. Then mount the camera with the photo lens using the quick-release plate on the supplied ball head. With the ball head, the camera can be aligned and determined at any time on any section of the sky. As soon as the tracking motor is switched on, long-time exposure can be started immediately. This does not even take 5 minutes ... The tracking is carried out by a precise stepper motor, which can be controlled by an easy digital setup on LCD screen. Low power consumption allows up to 20 hours of operation with just one battery charge or simply use the micro USB port for an unlimited power supply. Typically achievable exposure times with good tracking accuracy are: 16mm wide-angle lens: 5 minutes (300 sec.) , 100mm telephoto lens: 1 minute (60 sec.) FEATURES StarTracker Astronomical Photo Mount Kit Equatorial StarTracker Photo-MountAutomatic siderial tracking against the Earth rotation  Different tracking speed setting possible Suitable for northern and southern henisphere Time lapse: from 15 minutes to 48 hours Ballhead with quick release saddle plate and 1/4'' Photo thread for Kamera mountingPhoto-Mount with 1/4'' threaded bolt for ballhead mounting Additional quick release coupling for ball head removal High precision stepper motor with helical gear for accurate tracking Clear LCD screen and easy setup menu Battery operation 4 x AA batteries or mico USB (optional acc.)  Battery life: up to 20 hours Weight Photo-Mont: 0.63kgTransport weight incl. complete accessories: 3.6 kg Adjustment height mount with tripod: 80-155cm Tripod transport dimensions: 60x10x10cm; tripod weight: 2,1 kg Load capacity of Photo-Mount: up to 2.0kg/5.0kg (EQ/AZ) SCOPE OF DELIVERY BRESSER StarTracker astronomical Photo-Mount PM-100BRESSER Ballhead with quick release saddle plateBRESSER Polar Finder Scope for StarTracker PM-100BRESSER Micro Motion Head MH-100 (Polar-Wedge)BRESSER Tripod TP-100 DX with carry bag User manual

The R200ss was optimized for photography and allows very short exposure times. The telescope set also offers outstanding visual performance and produces sharp images without chromatic aberration. The SXD2 mount comes with the new STARBOOK TEN controller and the PFL-II polar viewfinder, which allows you to configure the mount quickly and easily via reference stars. The mount can be operated fully automatically and finds celestial objects automatically. The SXD 2 mount in detail With a combination of the best features from the Sphinx series and the all-new STAR BOOK TEN manual controller, Vixen has developed a new generation of SX mounts for demanding observers and astrophotographers. The SXD2 mount comes with the new STAR BOOK TEN controller and can be operated manually or with a computer. Featuring the same precision stepper motors as the top-of-the range AXD mount, the SXD2 sets a new standard for performance in the Vixen mount range. Compared with the SX mounts, the SXD2 has a quieter tracking system, and the increased precision of the motors provides better performance for the long exposure times used in astrophotography. Precision stepper motors and micro-step motion control system The star feature of the SXD2 is the precision stepper motors, which offer better performance and responsiveness than previous models. The micro-step motion control system has powerful yet very quiet drive characteristics that offer both fine control and quick swivel movements. Built-in bearings The bearings of the RA and DEC axles and the worm shafts were significantly improved in order to reduce the load on the motors. The motors are much quieter than those on previous models. Robust RA and DEC axles High-precision and thick steel shafts in RA and DEC axles increase the robustness of the SXD2 mount. High-precision worm gears High-precision processing technologies were used to rectify problems with the worm gear. The edges of both worms and worm gears are particularly smooth, which enables them to deliver very high precision. Declination axis functions as counterweight The sturdy motor units are located in the lower section of the declination axis to ensure that the SDX2’s centre of gravity is below the intersection of the RA and DEC axis. As a result, fewer additional counterweights are required. The R200SS in detail The R200SS features very fast f4 200 mm optics with a parabolic primary mirror and produces extremely sharp images with no chromatic aberration. A special layer made using state-of-the-art technology provides an optimal surface for observing and photographing deep-sky objects. The large aperture and short size make this device ideal for astrophotography of nebulae, star clusters and comets. The use of an optional coma corrector provides a sharp image until the edges of the field of view. The focuser features a socket for 2-inch eyepieces. The R200ss comes with 232 mm tube clamps and a dovetail bar. Aluminium vacuum evaporation system Vixen has developed a unique aluminium vacuum evaporation system that produces extreme precision mirror surfaces. Vixen Polarscope PF-L II for AP & SX Mounts
Vixen’s latest design of polar finder, allows a simple, hassle-free method of polar alignment. The Vixen Polarscope PF-L II for AP & SX mounts has a reticule showing the Pole star (Polaris) and two other stars (Delta UMi and 51 Cep) in their precise positions. By turning the Polarscope you can easily match the reticle with the asterism of these stars in the sky and mechanically adjust your mount’s azimuth and altitude axes to align to the true North Pole. You can then adjust the Polar star to a more precise alignment using the reticule’s year marking (which runs from 2015 to 2040, but in practise can be used much longer after this) . Using this alignment process, with visual reference to the actual stars in the sky, a complicated alignment, using date and time to calculate Polaris offset from the pole is unnecessary. For alignment in the Southern Hemisphere you simply use the Trapezium asterism (Sigma, Chi, Tau and Upsilon Octantis) of the constellation Octans and position the reticule with the trapezium stars aligned to their marked positions. The Polarscope has built-in LED illumination, which is dimmable in many stages, and ensures an automatic shut-off after 2 minutes, saving your battery life. The PFL-II also has an improved edge sharpness, when compared with its predecessor. FEATURES Lighting: LED illumination, with automatic shut-off Power supply: 3v button cell Accuracy: ≤ 3 arc minutes Dimensions: 47 x 55 x 127 mm Weight: 155g Compatibility: Vixen AP, SX, AXJ, AXD Mounts SCOPE OF DELIVERY PF-L II Allen key Battery CR2032 3v

Vixen Polarie Star Tracker Camera Mount for Astrophotography
The Vixen POLARIE is a new camera accessory, that enables you to capture sharp, point-like images of the stars. It has been developed to track the stars and to compensate for the movement of the earth. POLARIE enables you to take atmospheric shots of landscapes and the night sky and can also capture these in sharp images. Extremely simple and compact design for use in every location on earth. If you have ever viewed a romantic, starry sky, you will surely have felt the desire to capture it on film. But if you have tried to do this, you will know that it’s really not all that easy. This is because you need to have multiple exposures of several minutes if you want to photograph the stars. As our earth is always turning on its axis, the stars keep moving as time passes and become long strokes on photographs. Today’s digital technology gives us the option of obtaining shorter exposure times by increasing the sensitivity of the sensor, but, unfortunately, this dramatically increases picture noise and the picture becomes very noisy and ugly. This makes it impossible to take beautiful images of the night sky. For this reason, the Vixen company has developed the Polarie Star Tracker, which eliminates the problem of star migration. When you attach your camera to the Polarie, the device will track in the opposite direction of earth’s rotation and this allows for sharp, point-like images of the starry sky even when using long exposure times. POLARIE is a new and unique camera accessory for photographing the night sky, with perfectly point-like stars being tracked. Using the simplest solution, it makes the experience of photographing the night sky more accessible for everyone. The multi-functional mode dial is adjustable for sky- and landscape-, moon-, sun- and star-tracking. Polar altimeter for a fast focus. Also included: USB connection for external power supply and a built-in compass for quick orientation. Available as optional extra accessories are a polar finder telescope for exact alignment with the celestial pole for long-exposure photography including into the telephoto range, and a tripod. FEATURES Tracking speed: Sidereal, 0.5x sidereal, sun, moon Fine adjustment: F57, 6mm worm wheel with 144 teeth Polar axis: F 40mm, aluminium alloy Drive: High-precision stepper motor: Bearing capacity: approx. 2kg incl. ball head Orientation aperture: Field of vision 8.9° vInclinometer: 0° to 70° Miscellaneous: Built-in compass (removable) Power supply: 2x AA batteries (compatible with alkaline, Ni-MH, Ni-CD batteries) or external power supply compatible with USB mini-B Drive voltage: AA batteries: DC2,4-3.0V, Max. 0.6A External power supply: DC4,4-5,25V, max. 0.3A Operating time: approx. 2 hours with alkaline batteries Approx. 20 hours with external power supply at 20°C with 2 kg load Operating temperature: 0° to 40° Dimensions: 95mm x 137mm x 58mm Weight: 740g without batteries Optional accessories available: Polar finder telescope, M-155 tripod, QPL compass, ball head WHAT’S INCLUDED 1x camera mount
