Vixen Reducer HD Kit for FL55SS Telescopes

The Vixen 60 mm to M48 camera adapter is used to mount an astronomical CMOS camera to Vixen telescopes with a 60 mm focuser. The adapter is suitable for cameras or accessories with an M48 × 0.75 internal thread. You can directly connect third-party CMOS cameras and other products with an M48 thread. (Depending on the CMOS camera, an extension tube (optional) may be required.) The adapter can be freely rotated by loosening the clamping screws to orient the image as desired. Using the optional M56 Filter Conversion Adapter 48/52, you can attach 48 mm / 52 mm third-party photographic filters. The Vixen corrector PH is a 3-element Wynne corrector for demanding applications. Designed for the Vixen R200SS Newtonian reflector, but also suitable for other optics with similar specifications.The optical design consists of 3 lenses in 3 groups. The corrector provides excellent correction of system-induced coma of parabolic mirrors and the resulting spherical aberration. The corrected field has a diameter of 44 mm, making it suitable for the 24x36 mm format (full-frame DSLR/CCD cameras). Focal length reducer for the VSD90ss and VSD70ss with two ED lenses designed for high-end astrophotographyThe two ED lenses maximise the photographic performance of the VSD90ss and the VSD70ss, which are designed for both photography and visual observation. The reducer can illuminate an image circle of 44 mm (suitable for a 34x36 full-frame format). The reducer has a very sophisticated design as it contains four elements in four groups, including 2 ED lenses. Thanks to its larger lens diameter, it offers significantly improved image illumination compared to its predecessor, the smaller V0.79x reducer. The star distortion at the edges is also reduced to an absolute minimum.The focal length of the VSD90ss telescope is shortened by about 0.71x and the focal ratio is reduced from 5.5 to 3.9. The optics of the VMC260L are significantly better than the traditional Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. Despite its high 3000 mm focal length, it is just 650 mm long.
