Warning notes
  • Check the solar filter before every solar observation and ensure that it is not damaged. Hold it against a strong light source to detect any possible cracks and/or holes. Do not use the telescope for solar observation, even if the solar filter is only slightly damaged. In this case, contact the manufacturer for the appropriate replacement parts.
  • Always use the included solar filter when observing the sun. Make sure it is correctly attached to the telescope according to the instructions. The solar filter is intended for use only with this telescope.
  • Never look at the sun through an eyepiece/telescope without an approved protective filter. A moon filter must never be used for solar observation. The moon filter is suitable only for observing the moon. The solar filter must be mounted in front of the telescope aperture, not at the eyepiece. Otherwise, the light beam concentrated by the optics will immediately destroy the filter film, resulting in severe eye damage and potentially complete blindness.
  • Check that the solar filter is securely fitted before each solar observation. Accidental detachment from the objective opening can lead to immediate and permanent eye damage and blindness.
  • If the solar filter cannot be securely attached to the tube, improve the fit by placing several self-adhesive felt strips or similar material between the solar filter and the objective opening. Never use the solar filter if it cannot be properly mounted on the telescope. In such a case, always contact our customer service first.
  • Be extremely cautious when observing the sun. Even a brief look through unprotected optics will immediately cause severe eye damage, potentially leading to complete blindness.
  • Children must not look at the sun through the telescope, even with the filter correctly installed. Never leave children unsupervised.
  • Never leave the optics unattended. Children and inexperienced adults could point the telescope at the sun without taking the necessary precautions and lose their eyesight.
  • Do not observe the sun after eye surgery or if you have other eye conditions without prior medical consultation.
  • Wrinkles/creases in the film are normal and do not indicate a product defect.
  • Do not expose the device to high temperatures.
  • BATTERY WARNINGS AND SAFETY Safe handling and use of batteries and rechargeable batteries. Read and follow these instructions before using the battery or rechargeable battery. To the extent permitted by law, failure to comply with these warnings and instructions may result in damage to your product no longer being covered by the warranty. In this document, the term "batteries" also includes rechargeable batteries. Follow these instructions to ensure optimal safety and performance: DO NOT use counterfeit batteries in products. Only use the supplied batteries. Use the battery ONLY for its intended purpose. Keep batteries out of the reach of children and pets. DO NOT use batteries whose casing appears damaged, swollen or modified. Do not use batteries that are leaking, emitting an odour, swollen or melted, or that show dents, rust, cracks or scratches. The battery must NOT be disassembled, crushed, punctured, shredded or otherwise tampered with. The battery must NOT be exposed to liquids. Liquid may enter the battery circuitry, causing corrosion and compromising battery safety. A wet or damp battery must NOT be dried using a device or heat source, such as a hairdryer or microwave. The device or battery must NOT be placed near a heat source or in direct sunlight. High temperatures can cause the battery to swell, leak or malfunction. Examples include placing it on or near a radiator, hob, kitchen appliance, iron or fireplace, or inside a vehicle or next to a window in direct sunlight. The battery must NOT come into contact with metal objects. If metal objects such as jewellery remain in contact with the battery terminals for an extended period, the battery may become very hot or catch fire. The battery must NOT be stored together with hazardous or flammable materials. Store the battery in a cool, dry and well-ventilated environment. The battery must NOT be inserted incorrectly when charging. MAKE SURE that the battery compartment is empty, dry and free of dirt before inserting the battery. The battery must NOT be charged in direct sunlight or at extreme temperatures. The battery must be charged at room temperature, which is typically between 20 °C and 26 °C (68 °F-79 °F). Charging may be temporarily disabled if the battery temperature exceeds 60 °C (140 °F). If the battery is hot but its temperature is below 60 °C (140 °F), it will still charge, but more slowly than usual. Avoid dropping the battery or the product with the battery inside. If dropped onto a hard surface, the battery or product may be damaged. If you suspect that the battery may be damaged, replace it. NEVER leave the device connected to the power supply for more than 24 hours for charging. Allow the battery to discharge and then recharge it. Leaving the device connected to a charger without allowing the battery to discharge may affect battery performance or damage the battery or device. If a battery provides a significantly shorter runtime than when it was purchased, it has reached the end of its reasonable service life. We therefore recommend replacing it. For optimal results and performance, batteries should be replaced after 12 months or earlier depending on usage. Follow local regulations for the disposal of used batteries. DO NOT throw the battery into fire or water.

ZWO Seestar Smart Telescope S30 Pro AP30/160
There has never been an easier way to capture stunning astro images: The ZWO Seestar S30 Pro Smart Telescope AP30/160 builds on the celebrated Seestar lineage with a bold step forward. Weighing just 1.65 kg, it is just as compact and travel-friendly as its predecessor – but now packs an entirely new dual-camera optical system that takes astrophotography to a whole new level. Calibration, object acquisition, capture, stacking – the S30 Pro handles the lot, automatically. Whether you're settled on the sofa, stretched out in the garden, or perched at your favourite dark-sky spot, all you need to do is sit back and drink in the universe. Dual-camera with 4K – a genuine leap forward ZWO has raised the bar significantly with the S30 Pro. The telephoto camera is built around the Sony IMX585 sensor in the large 1/1.2″ format, covering a 4.6° field of view, while the wide-angle camera pairs the IMX586 sensor with a sweeping 63° field of view. The telephoto sensor alone is four times the size of the one found in the original S30 – which translates directly into more gathered light, cleaner images, and finer detail on even the faintest, most remote objects. A 4-element apochromatic lens with a 160 mm focal length and ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass renders colours more faithfully and images more crisply than the 3-element design of the previous model. The autofocus takes care of itself, and an integrated triple filter system – dark-field filter, UV/IR cut filter, and a light pollution filter optimised for OIII and H-Alpha – means you can get outstanding results even from the middle of a city. A built-in dew heater keeps the optics clear on damp nights, so nothing stands between you and the stars. Four capture modes – perfectly tuned for every subject The S30 Pro offers four dedicated capture modes, each of which automatically dials in the right settings for the job:In Stargazing mode, galaxies, nebulae, star clusters and more are yours to explore. Solar System mode is fine-tuned for planets and the Sun – always used with the included solar filter, of course. The brand-new Milky Way & Star Trails mode lets you create breathtaking Milky Way panoramas, star trails, time-lapses, and Milky Way mosaics at the press of a button. Scenery mode turns the S30 Pro into a capable ultra-telephoto camera during the day.For newcomers, it really is as simple as picking a mode and letting the telescope do the rest. Smart app control with over 80,000 celestial objects at your fingertips The Seestar app (iOS/Android) is clean, intuitive, and puts complete control of the telescope in the palm of your hand. One tap is all it takes for the GoTo system to swing the optics precisely onto your chosen target – drawn from a database of over 80,000 deep-sky objects and 600,000 stars, complete with recommendations via the "Tonight's Best" feature. The smart constellation recognition identifies star patterns in your field of view in real time, or navigates straight to a constellation of your choosing. The Plan mode lets you schedule an entire imaging session in advance: the S30 Pro will search, track, and photograph all by itself – even long after you've turned in for the night. Cloud cover forecasts, moon phase data and visibility information all help you pick the best possible moment to observe. 8K mosaics, advanced image processing and 128 GB of onboard storage The Seestar S30 Pro can automatically assemble 8K Milky Way mosaics – portrait or landscape orientation, triggered with a single tap. The telescope works through a pre-calculated grid of frames and stitches everything together seamlessly. The new Freeze the Ground feature cleverly separates the foreground from the sky: your landscape stays crisp and natural while the stars are stacked without any trailing – with no manual effort whatsoever. Automatic noise reduction and Dynamic Background Extraction (DBE) work together to smooth out uneven backgrounds and draw out fine detail, entirely without any input from you. Images are saved in JPEG or FITS format; videos in MP4 or AVI. With 128 GB of internal storage, there is plenty of headroom for even the longest of nights. Something for everyone – from first-timers to seasoned imagers The Seestar S30 Pro is built so that anyone can achieve great results straight out of the box – no prior knowledge required. The automatic modes and guided app walk you through everything. For those who want to go deeper, the S30 Pro is equally at home as a serious imaging tool: individual frames can be saved in FITS format and taken into your post-processing software of choice. The S30 Pro also supports the open ASCOM Alpaca protocol and works with popular astrophotography platforms such as NINA. With optional accessories, an equatorial mode is available too, compensating for the Earth's rotation and opening the door to longer exposures. Equally impressive in broad daylight The S30 Pro is no one-trick pony. By day, it doubles as a versatile camera with both wide-angle and telephoto capability in a single, compact body – perfect for birdwatching, landscape photography, and time-lapse work. Moving subjects – wildlife, trains, aircraft – are tracked automatically and captured in sharp detail. Photo, video, and time-lapse are all on offer in 4K Ultra HD. The ZWO Seestar S30 Pro AP30/160 is quite simply one of the finest smart telescopes on the market today – and the most enjoyable way to make breathtaking astro images your new normal. BRESSER Pollux-II 150/1400 EQ3 Reflector Telescope with Smartphone Adapter & Solar Filter
Explore the beauties of the night sky with this complete telescope set. Everything is included so that you can get started immediately with the fascinating hobby of astronomy: the astronomical reflector telescope with 150 mm aperture and 1,400 mm focal length, the equatorial mount, the tripod and extensive accessories for exciting observations. Especially important for beginners: the system is very easy to use. Particularly the Moon, the planets and the Sun appear impressive through the Pollux-II. Powerful performance for your first celestial observations – the telescope Take your first steps in astronomy with this classic reflector telescope of the "Newton" type. Because it is equipped with an additional lens inside the focuser, it belongs to the group of the so-called "catadioptric" optics. One advantage of this combination of lens and mirror: despite the large focal length, the telescope tube is relatively short and therefore easily transportable. In addition, you can look forward to a comfortable observation position at all times. This is because with telescopes of this design you do not look in at the back of the telescope, but at the front and laterally. So you don't have to bend down, even if the reflector telescope is pointed vertically upwards at the sky. The large aperture of 150 mm collects a lot of light from the celestial objects. In addition, 150 mm aperture and 1,400 mm focal length result in a focal ratio (ratio of aperture to focal length) of 1 to 9.3 (F/9.3). This allows you to enjoy viewing your favourite objects at high magnifications with good contrast. Admire especially the planets or details on the Moon through the entry-level telescope. But also some deep sky objects are very nice to observe: open star clusters, globular clusters and bright planetary nebulae such as the Ring Nebula M57 in the constellation Lyra can be seen beautifully through this astronomical telescope. But how close can you get to the celestial eye-catchers? The 150 mm aperture achieves a resolving power that allows magnifications of up to 300x with sharp images. The technical possibilities go far beyond this – theoretically up to 1,050x using the included accessories. However, as the magnification increases, the sharpness of the image can slowly decrease. In addition, high magnification also requires the right environmental conditions. For no matter through which telescope you look, the air turbulence in the atmosphere (seeing conditions) always influences your observation and magnification possibilities. Note for nature lovers: If you choose a Newtonian telescope like the Pollux-II reflector telescope, you can look forward to a specialist in astronomical observation. However, the image is always displayed laterally reversed as well as upside down, which makes no difference when observing the sky. However, this type of telescope is less suitable for nature and landscape observation during the day. Would you like to use your new telescope for exciting nature discoveries as well? Then we recommend that you choose one of the BRESSER refractor telescopes. Solid base for gazing skywards – mount and tripod Have you found the perfect location for your journey of discovery into the night sky? Then simply mount your astronomical telescope with the equatorial mount on the height-adjustable aluminium tripod. The special feature of this type of mount: after the so-called "alignment", the positioning of an axis parallel to the Earth's axis, the movement of the celestial bodies only has to be compensated for on this one axis. To do this, you simply point the axis approximately at Polaris. This is a huge advantage over the azimuthal mount, where both axes are moved simultaneously. In addition, the two flexible shafts with fine adjustment make adjusting and tracking the telescope very precise and comfortable. And to ensure that accessories are always at hand, they can be stored on the handy shelf between the tripod legs.Keep track of things automatically: For this telescope’s equatorial EQ-3 mount, the tracking motor with item number 4951400 is available as an optional accessory. This eliminates the need to manually track a celestial object set in the telescope. When this motor is installed at the mount, it automatically tracks the celestial object, keeping it in the field of view of the eyepiece. This makes observing the night sky even more comfortable! Everything you need, night and day – the accessories The astronomical telescope comes with a wide range of equipment so that you can start admiring the Moon, planets or the Sun straight away. At night, the LED viewfinder helps you keep an overview of the sky. Once installed parallel on the tube and correctly aligned, the small red dot shows you where the telescope is pointing when you look through it. This way, you can align the optics precisely and find celestial bodies more quickly before you then take a closer look with the high magnification. Varying views of the universe: the two eyepieces allow you to marvel at your observation objects in different magnifications. They are simply inserted into the telescope's focuser using their sockets with a standardised 1.25 inch (31.7 mm) diameter. You want to see even more details? Then go for the 3x barlow lens, which triples the magnification of the eyepieces. If you would like to make astronomical discoveries even during the day, use the solar filter to observe the star of our own solar system. It allows you to easily and safely observe sunspots and granulation on the sun. CAUTION: Never point the telescope at the sun without the solar filter! Capture special highlights easily – with the smartphone adapter, you use your smartphone as a camera for your telescope. This way you can quickly take your first photos of the Moon or the Sun, for example, and get started in astrophotography.
